not sure, I think all of us have an urge to help others if we can

Relate this to people you know around, who go out of the way to help yaa out... but later you realize that it was for motive or in expectation of return favor.

expectations always lead to frustrations, that is a motto I follow, If I help someone, I make it a point to think, ok, this person is gonna forget when it comes time to help me, I am doing this just b'cos it is something I want to do

so in fact the person does not help in return, nothing to be disappointed about, if the person helps, great we are break even and I will look forward in helping that person

If someone does something good for, I know that is a debt that has to be repaid😆

Do you consider any good deed by a person towards you is for a selfish motive? i.e. if there are favors done by people who are not related are for selfish motives.

not really, but I think to expect something in return is like a contract for giving, I kind of disapprove of that

Cann't a person do good deeds without thinking of returns favors in future?

there is always something in return, mental satisfaction at the minimal.

Is the world mean?? (barring few noble souls)

I think not, I have seen so many people do things for others, donate, do things for 9/11, katrina releif or Tsunami releif, yeah there is a tax benefit for some, but that still is a net "give"
