Less than a decade back, I remember finding my Grandmother a poem over the internet. It was one which she'd learnt in school and cherished but only managed to remember a few lines over the years. She had been delighted and expressed her awe at the preview of the internet. I recall telling her then - "Dadi, everything is available over the internet". Little did I know then that everything' included friendship too. I was lucky to have found someone whose friendship I'm going to cherish for the rest of my life. She's not only supremely talented but also a gem of a person, just like her name says.

With her words, she creates such a powerful whirlpool that you can't help but be sucked into it. I can rant about the most insignificant of things yet she will not only lend me a patient ear, but also have a kind word to offer, preventing me from making a fool of myself. Her enthusiasm towards the simpler things in life is infectious. We tend to have very similar opinions on a wide range of things; when she says something, it's like she's reading my mind and is very elegantly and precisely penning down my thoughts (when I speak/write it's like I'm reading her mind too...just destroying all the coherence there is). I'm one crazy individual but with her, I can surely celebrate that craziness!

So I'm here today (10th February) to celebrate the birthday of that special person. Nafisa (a.k.a. -doe-eyes-), this is my feeble attempt to make your day a little more special.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAFISA!!!

I don't know how these things are done, so please excuse all the goof-ups. I have a couple more cakes for you...all different flavours you see đ

I have a few gifts for you. Actually, they are more than a few. When I didn't have to spend a single penny, I decided to be rather generous. đ

As I've already decided to be generous today, here is a day-long stay in one of Ghana's coastal resorts

or maybe you could just sit by the window and look at it rain...

while enjoying a cup of your favourite Mochachino

and maybe snuggle up in a blanket with your any of your favourite books...
