My two Cents...
1) It was not only Indian Junta who voted for ASHVIK--- as far as I know, it was an International Poll. And I don't think all the people around the World are as sentimental as we Indians are. And Indian as well as international audience these days are known to cast votes after gathering sufficient information about a certain subject. You know something known as informed voting...
2) Also, no matter how some judge tried to cut ASHVIK's marks, they did end up getting the highest cumulative scores from the judges-- 422 compared to Gurbina's 420. So you see, even if winning couple was to be declared based solely on judges' scores, Ashvik were the clear winners. Although they were ahead by just 2 marks, they were ahead of GURBINA nevertheless..
And according to Terence Lewis-- the judge who knew the most about dancing -Ashvik were not crappy dancers. In fact he was happy when he declared " He thought Asha to be DHEELI dancer at the beginning, but then he was happy to bit back his own words". And Rithvik has been a FANTASTIC dancer ever since he has known him..
Besides, Bollywood's top choreographer Geeta Kapur was seen rooting for ASHVIK. She obviously knows about dancing better than either of us to decide who are crappy dancers ,who not and root for ASHVIK.
Just because the couple one likes doesn't win, that makes the winners CRAPPY dancers as well as non-DESERVING ones? Is actors' basing allowed by IF and am I the only one who doesn't know about it?
OR
"Grapes are sour", perhaps..
