JB, Creatives, Lurkers and Fish!

Jai and Bani separate, yet again. But this time for five long, lonely years.

A woman is deprived of her children and her husband, and temporarily, even her sanity.

A man is deprived of his wife, and has to be the one to be inhumanly cruel, to her yes, but most of all to himself.

And in the meantime hangs the spectre of the JW being blackmailed into marriage with the very person who is the root cause of all his agony, Reptile (a.k.a Pia).

Congratulations are due to the obviously and clearly men-hating team of kreatives.

Are you certain that all of you are not latter day descendants of the Amazons? (No wait, I need to apologise to the Amazons!)

Because you are making Jai Walia pay over and over again, in blood and gore for one mistake: for mistakenly thinking that he was in love with Pia Dixit and proposing to her.

It's interesting to note that you are trying your level best to generate sympathy for the female protagonist- Bani Walia at the cost of Jai Walia.

And sympathy for Jai Walia by showing him so helpess.

Don't misunderstand me, I sympathise with Bani's predicament. A great deal. And I empathise with Jai Walia's predicament a great deal more.

Isn't it silly, that we got so attached to fictional characters, that we fell in love with people who were never real, who were created by a team of people who have all clearly left the job, and whom the new team is determined to re-make into their own image?

Since we all know that Balaji lurkers do hang around IF-KS, let me address them:

You have constantly tried to mould Bani into a combination of Tulsi Virani and Parvati Aggarwal. You consistently missed the point that most of us who became hooked onto KS are not regular K-serial watchers. Let me be more explicit: I find all your other soaps ridiculous in the extreme (2 months was my toleration saturation limit!).

Tulsi Virani is probably the most self-righteous, stridently sanctimonious bore ever to grace the Indian television screen.

The weeping, self-sacrificing, self appointed guardian of everyone's (in her family) decision making abilities, Parvati Aggarwal is a close second to Tulsi.

I liked Bani precisely because she was not like either. And then she tried to become like them. And your trp's dived. You tried to rectify that with the ONS. And your trp's sank!

And now you dangle the possibility of a Jai- Pia marriage?

The mind boggles.

Because it indicates that you have misjudged the single most important factor that made KS so addictive: the character of Jai Walia.

Unlike all your other masculine characters, he was…….let's skip this: you must know by now! But such stupid, inexplicable helplessness was definitely not It!

And JW is your number one punching bag.

We clung on. When our fantasy love story was destroyed we clung on to KS in it's memory. And we braved you continuity lapses (seriously, is Pia human or an elephant in disguise- they are the only mammals to have an 18 month long gestation period), your lack of creativity, your bloopers, your blunders, your nauseating situations…..and so much more.

We did it because we loved JB. And we hoped against hope that in the substitute for waste material that you reduced ks to, somehow, at some point you would allow J&B to be the people we fell in love with. But now, you are proposing cross marriages.

I'm reaching for a barf bag.

And getting ready to watch J-P get married in what for me will be the last episode of KS I will allow myself to watch.

Yeah, we figure that that is where you are headed because:

1. you are going all out to show JW helpless to do anything about it, and you are doing that in the hope that since JW has no choice, we the audience will also accept it- sorry, not happening!
2. even if you show bani presumed death (which at this point is the only way JW can seemingly get out of marrying that mistake for a human being (Pia), you still have the headache of finding an excuse to show Reptile still hanging around WM post leap.
3. you really can't come up with anything else.
   

I guess you never did understand what made KS and JW and BW so special for us…well, that requires another post entirely!

I'm sure that ………will now start watching KS. And give you good trp's. Or maybe not. What gave ks its trp's were an entirely different set of audiences, people like me whom you are determined to drive away.

In the meantime: to RK and PD- you guys are awesomely good actors- despite the bizarreness of the story line you emote so well that you are addictive. Someday, we should be privileged enough to watch you act on-screen in a good, logical script.

And Dear Creatives: while you are at it, you are welcome to use any idea you like from my ff's. But trust you to take a dream named 'jannat' and distort it into a sordid, badly executed plot twist. I guess that says it all for your creativity.

Armana, you said it all so perfectly well! And no you are not offending anyone. You have the complete right to express your opinions. Infact, this is how everyone has been feeling recently!

Bani and Jai used to be my absolute favourite characters! But Bani's character went down hill for me and i began to find her rather annoying! (And i still do!) As for Jai, i still kept high hopes for him! Thinking that he was the man in control and no one would dare mess with him! But what is this? Our very own Jai Walia is begging at Reptile's feet?!!! 🤢 The creatives have absolutely ruined JW's image for me! Showing me that he is absolutely helpess and pathetic! (Am only talking about the characters Jai and Bani. I love Ram and Prachi! They're wonderful actors who know how to do their job! 😊 )

If this doesn't go through those Creatives' minds,then who knows what does! 😕

Talking to the Kreatives these days seems to be like banging your head against a wall - the only one that suffers is your head!!! 😕

You know I agree with you when you say JW has suffered more, and will continue to do so - esp. as Ronit Roy has appeared to be Bani's saviour, and JW is stuck with... the 3 witches!!! 🤢 🤢 🤢

Bani's saintliness is helping her just as much as Tulsi's and Parvati's did - yet Kekta still never learns!! But at least those shows seem to have better creatives, better dialogue writers - KS has been slashed in each and every way!! 😭 😭 😭

Creatives - you had a winner on your hands, why cut its legs off in its prime??!!! 😡 😡 😡

We have no dearth of talent on this forum - take a story from anyone, i'm sure they wouldn't mind!! Anything to pluck KS from the jaws of the cavernous black hole it will fall into if you try and pull any cross-marriages!!! 😡

Now we can only sit back and hope and pray that the worst doesn't happen - but perhaps I shouldn't hold my breath!! 🤢

Kreatives may lurk around this forum, tune into our frustrationa nd even catch all the jhoothis we aim at them, but I've lose any hope of them ever trying to take any of our advice....

They've been using the K-serial formulas (follow any K-serials and you'll know all of them!) for a good number of years - why change now?

If one show gets bad TRP's, no problem!....Bring on another one which will get us hooked, and then make us suffer like all the others after a few months of bliss!

There's a saying - 'Kuthe ki dum kabhi seedhi nahin hothi'.........this applies to the tail as well as the Kreatives!

I may stick with the updates even after a JP marriage, but any attempts to replace PD or RK and I'm off!

completely agree with u....v r still watching this crap for RK & PD...these kreatives are sadists & r playing with our emotions....If JP marriage take place they w'll loose most of their viewers......may b kekta wants to give more imp 2 reptile....can't even imagine how come anyone seperate small babies from their mother..horrible....I hate kekta & her so called kreatives....we want jb together....great post yaar...

well done Armana, i loved ur post and am with you in the fact that we loved KS for a whole new set of reasons which are so very different from what Ekta serials were all about.

but the kreatives knows all the perfect ways to destroy a serial and this is exactly what they have done. shame on them.

My commendations on a well thought out and well written post.

Here are my conclusions!

THe Balaji team lacks the following.
1) Good planners
2) Creative writers that can attract people from all wakes of life
3) Good editors/proofers
4) A market survey team that actually collects the demographics and the genres of audience

Having said all that, we the people on the forum along with the hopelessly romantic people in India and elsewhere are a different genre of people that the current Balaji team doesn't cater to - so what we say is not going to have much of an impact on them. They will still get their advertisers, they will still get thier audience (Not our kind, but others who may like the rona, dhona, saas, bahu stuff with loads of preaching, sanctimonious bull) -

So, Yes! You and I and countless others are left in a lurch - The all powerful, suave, educated, sarcastic, well modulated, well-spoken, under-acting JW is gone forever, The self-respecting, individualistic, sprity, spit-fire BW is gone to the way side - in lieu, we have the gyrating, chicken necked Jigs, overacting, over-hated Pia, rona-dhona Rashi -

We have a choice of swallowing this or getting out and looking for another show that we all like!

My condolences to all of us! I am ready to sing the Requiem!!

Well written post. Completely agree with you and you are absolutely correct
in saying that KS lost itself under what the current creative director who it
seems like has what I refer to as "incompetent and juvenile" understanding
of characterisation, storylines and so forth. The current KS since the ONS
track is altogether a different KS. And yes, the cahracter of JW is currently
been shown as having no option, I, for one don't buy that, it's going against
his character that of a businessman tycoon.
Basically agree with all that you have penned.
