CHAPTER-29.

Shlok was stunned to stillness for a few seconds as her lips moved over his softly..

He was trying not to react to the warmth of her soft lips moving tenderly over his,but then this all knew half conscious Astha seem to have a completely different plan..

Her fingers moved from his collar,and touched his skin at the opening his shirt,while her other hand curved round his neck,pulling his mouth closer,making him gasp out against her mouth..

And as if she had been waiting for him to do just that,her tongue ventured into his mouth,and gently tangled with his..

Fireworks exploded within Shlok at the contact,and he instantly started to kiss her back voraciously,hungrily,and passionately..

His lips moving over her soft ones,as if his life depended on it,and then his hands curved round her waist pulling her closer..

His blood had heated up and he was lost in the magic..The magic only the woman in his arms could create..The spell only she could cast on him..

His full lips ravished hers,sucking and licking at them,when suddenly he realised she was not responding anymore..Not kissing him back,like she was only sometime ago..

Reluctantly he moved his lips from hers..Breathing heavily he stared into her face..She had fallen asleep,he realised with a soft smile..

Gently he made her lie down on the bed,and covered her with blanket..Then smiling down at her soft beautiful innocent face,he place a gentle kiss on her forehead,and stood up to leave..

Her hands grabbed his,just when he turned to leave..

He slowly turned round to see her open her eyes slightly,as she softly whispered up to him..

"Don't leave me Shlok..Please.."

Something squeezed at Shlok's heart at her words..And with a sigh,he pulled a chair by the bed,and sat on it..Holding her hand in his he fell asleep in his sitting position..

Somewhere outside the house a livid looking man,made a phone call..

When the person on the other side picked up the phone,he spoke up..

"I have a job for you..It's about Shlok Agnihotri.."He gritted out angrily..

By the time he had kept the phone down,his eyes burned with a strange satisfaction..An evil smile on his lips..

"You will have to pay for what you did Shlok Agnihotri..!"He laughed sinisterly and limped his way to his car..

The next afternoon had Shlok and Astha on their way back to Pune..

Astha passed secret looks at his profile..She had woken up in the morning with a burning headache,and could not remember a thing of what had happened the previous night..

She only remembered flashes of Shlok beating someone,Shlok taking care of her,Shlok telling her she loves him..

Had he really said that to her..?!

No..She did not think that was possible at all..THE GREAT SHLOK AGNIHOTRI could never fall in love,and especially not with a nobody like her..

She sighed out,and had turned her head,when she saw him sleeping by her bed,on a chair,with his head lolling backwards at an uncomfortable angle,and she noticed her hand was held in his too..

Astha nearly jumped up in shock..

Why is he sleeping like this,and that also holding my hand?!

To her utter disappointment she never got the answer to that,as someone woke him up with knocking,and Shlok passing her an awkward embarrassed look at seeing her awake,let go of her hand,and left the room in a hurry..

Nor did she get the chance to talk to him for the rest of the day..

So finally she had decided,that either he was deliberately avoiding her or maybe this just was not the right time to ask her questions and clear her confusion..Atleast she had to know what had happened to her..

She blushed pink,as she suddenly remembered him confessing his love to her..That for sure was her dream,or to be precise a nightmare,and she could never ask him about that..!

She sneaked another look at his hard handsome profile..

It was not the right time to ask him questions she decided,just as they drove into Pune..

A tired Shlok was entering his house when his father,Niranjan Agnihotri's angry voice stopped him..

"Yes baba?"He asked softly,walking upto him..

His father was standing at the drawing room,with a cold angry look on his face..

Wondering at the cause of his usually calm father's sudden anger,he stood infront of him..

"What is this Shlok?"Niranjan asked,handing him a newspaper..

With a frown he took the newspaper,and looked at it..

The news at the corner,along with the picture below thundered him into stillness..

THE RENOWNED MOST ELLIGIBLE BACHELOR SHLOK AGNIHOTRI IS FIANLLY ENGAGED TO MARRY!!!

The headline said,and the picture was one of him carrying Astha in his arms..

Shlok did not know how to react,as he kept staring at the headline and read the article twice..He was reading it for the third time,when his father's voice stopped him..

"This is a shame on our family name and honour Shlok..And now you have to amend this mistake as soon as possible.."Niranjan said in a chilling voice,as he looked away from him..

"Baba,but.."

"I want you to marry her Shlok..And I have already sent your ayi to the girl's house with your marriage proposal.."

His father's words swept away the remaining color from his face,as he stood shocked still..
