[/URL] a few days back as I was going through my book collection I came across Fifty Shades of Grey, suddenly I was struck with few similarities between the hero in the book(Grey) & Rudra. It compelled me to make this post though lame but enjoy..,
he is strong, arrogant, mighty, cruel, stubborn, possessive, caring, loving in very crude way but will become her guardian angel as soon as someone else threats her & would not hesitate to lay down his life for her safety& will comfort her in a very intimate way that confuses her & us at the same time in short he is an enigma
Please add ur shades along with photos u like

Nooo! Never Fifty Shades! That book- that trilogy is an insult to writing, to stories, to the publishing industry, to BDSM lifestyle and WOMEN! I can't believe it is this popular, because it's bad writing and a super cliched story(?).
I LIKE Rudra, and I'm loving RR... He will have complexities and what not, but NEVER be like Christian Creepy Grey. No.

In no sense I meant the BDSM thing similar to fifty, but I meant some beautifully portrayed traits of Christian Grey's character, including his problematic complex childhood.
But I meant somewhat mysteriously arrogant character & for everybody's information there are millions of books published everyday Fifty shades trilogy is declared on top of International market because the strength of writing anyway (and it's being made into a Hollywood movie)
I'm not here to defend it but the post I made was to just appreciate Strong & multifaceted Rudra's character.Dont always take literal sense there can be many different meanings take them on face value guys.sorry if anyone is offended I never meant that .

Lovely post, excellent comparisons loved the fifty trilogy in some ways hated in others BUT your depth of analysis has me also agreeing with the personality traits similarity in many ways.

That book is horrible. It's a Twilight fanfiction. I mean Salman Rushdie (excellently) puts it this way: Fifty Shades makes the Twilight Saga look like War and Peace. Fifty is that bad. I will have done my bit of good to the world if I can discourage anybody from reading it. That book is dangerous because it portrays all sorts of abuse and assaults as "romance".

Everyone is reading it because it's popular. Then they realise that it's terrible. Then they wonder what's wrong with the world if they're reading this. Trust me, better erotica exists out there.

To a certain post above- Creepy Grey's character is remote from being crafted at all. At best, he's the human version of Edward Cullen which is bad enough to start with.

My social work done. Don't ever read that book. It may cause you to think abuse is acceptable.
