The reason why I think Ranveer has great interest in music is because of this interview.

If you have watched GiMA awards 2011, he knows so many songs and it looks like that knowledge is not limited to just bollywood music considering he remembers a song from Mika's album from many years ago. I think even Vikram commented on how Ranveer's head is filled with so many pop culture references from the 70s and 80s and was surprised at the amount of knowledge he holds.

Singer Mika Singh has a rather interesting take on stardom.

He tells CS, "For me, being a star singer is not about getting awards.It's about people recalling me and not the actor for a popular song. It's the biggest high as a performer and completely unmatched. Recently, I bumped into actor Ranveer Singh at a party. As soon as he saw me, he started singing 'Saawan mein lag gayi aag' before wishing me with a warm hug. This was a song from my private album that had released 15 years ago. It felt nice that an actor was identifying me with my song. It was overwhelming to say the least."

This is exactly WHY Ranveer is going to win hearts and form a broader fan base.it will take time but it will happen..

I was not surprised when at Filmfarem every other actor refused or avoided eating churn from the nurse pInky(Rakhi Sawant) but Ranveer ate it immediately when she offered him..😳 He also said Rakhi Sawant is RS, I am RS so shake hands for the World RS domination...

He is nice with everyone...it s his great quality...and I can see that in Deepika. She has become very open as we can see at her recent awards performances as well as appearances...

That was a good read. I like his response to the criticism he gets for his dressing sense and uninhibited personality. He isn't a people pleaser and he hope he stays that way.

The last bit about his 'relationship' with Deepika is interesting to say the least. Clearly the relationship isn't that serious to either of them.
