That same old excuse "date issues" has come between Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone, however this time the reason is genuine.
Padukone who is one of the sought after actresses of the moment may reject Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming film with Khan due to clashing dates. Mid-Day reports that the problem is also that she has already allotted those dates to Imtiaz Ali for his next film, which goes on the floors around the same time.
A source told Mid-Day, "Sooraj is very keen to have Deepika on board and so is Salman, but the former wants Deepika to assign 120 days for the film's shoot from June onwards and it doesn't look like she will be able to pull it off as she will be shooting for Imtiaz's film from July to December."
There's also talk of Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar wanting to sign Padukone and Aamir Khan together for an upcoming film but it all depends on the actress' dates.

Obviously 😆 It's not like all the films are offered to the highness Deepika.

Also, Sooraj Barjatya still hasn't finished writing female's role then how did Deepika get it? And that Aamir - Farhan film ??? Was denied by the makers😆

Deepika had also claimed she was offered Dhoom 3 and JTHJ before Katrina. How can you take her PR seriously ?

When Mirror asked the reclusive director about the casting coup, without revealing much, Sooraj said, "We've had several meetings with Deepika and the talks have reached an advance stage. Right now, we are figuring out the dates since it's a long schedule. However, nothing is official yet."

Its not PR. Sooraj Barjatya confirmed advance talks only with Deepika he added not having the right dates. She did not reject the film but her dates are clashing with Imtiaz Ali's newly changed dates for Window Seat.

MUMBAI, India
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been approached for director-producer Sooraj Barjatya's film starring Salman Khan.
Khan will be teaming up with Barjatya for a film after 14 years. Their last outing together was "Hum Saath Saath Hain."
"Sooraj ji met her (Deepika) at a party. Talks are on with her but nothing is finalized yet. Lot of actresses have interest in this film and he is meeting other actresses as well," sources close to the development told PTI Dec. 30.
"We have not finalized anyone yet. Lots of speculation is happening over the heroine of the film. Things will be finalized in 15 days or so," the source said.

Several names have come up for the leading lady including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ilena D'Cruz, Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, Nargis Fakhri and others.

The yet-to-be-titled film is likely to go on floors in June next year. The shooting might take place in Mumbai, Gujarat
