CHAPTER 62

THURSDAY:

Karthik, Raji, Lakshmi and Vishnu work till late in the evening. Lakshmi asks Raji to design the powerpoint presentation at home in
the night and bring the next day. Lakshmi asks Vishnu to accompany
Karthik and her so that they can run demo at home once and do the
last minute corrections. All of them decide to come to office early in
the morning. All of them start home in Vishnu's car.. They keep
discussing work all the way. They drop Raji at her athai's place and
reach home.

Finishing dinner, all three of them run the demo and note down the
corrections. Lakshmi guides Karthik and Vishnu and they finish the
final patchup work and run the demo again. All of them are happy at
the end result.

Raji ... after having dinner prepares the Powerpoint presentation and
mails to Susan. Susan sends some corrections... Raji rectifies and
resends... Susan mails that its turned out well. Raji goes through it
one more time and feels relaxed that it's completed.

Raji thinks of calling Karthik and takes the mobile and sees its 2 a.m.
and drops the idea thinking after the trial run of demo he might have
slept by now and messages him.."finished presentation...good night... talk to you in the morning" and sleeps off.

Karthik makes coffee and gives to Lakshmi and Vishnu. He says
Goodnight to them and comes to his room. He thinks of calling Raji
and sees the message from her. Finishing coffee, he goes to sleep.

Vishnu and Lakshmi chit chat for sometime and then go to bed.

FRIDAY:

IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM:

Susan, Lakshmi, Karthik, Vishnu and Raji are seated around the
table. Lakshmi runs the demo and everyone looks on...
The trial is finished .
Susan: Karthik ...
Karthik: sollunga Susan...
Susan: come on ... go with the presentation...
Karthik: presentation Raji dhaane panraa...
Susan laughs and everyone joins but Karthik doesn't seem to
understand...
Karthik: ennaachu?
Susan: client visit naa dhaan Raji present pannuvaa... ippo nee client place ku pore... so demo, presentation avanga doubt clarification ellaam nee thaan pannanum.
Karthik smiles and says: suthamaa ... maranthupochu...
Lakshmi: Karthik oru thadavai slides ellaam go through pannikko...
appo thaan evening Sir munnaadi confidence ah panna mudiyum..
Karthik: sari... Lakshmi...
Susan: OK guys... see you in the evening... Karthik prepare well...
She leaves to her cabin.

Raji: Karthik...
Karthik: enna Raji?
Raji: un kitta pesanum...
Karthik's mobile rings...
Karthik: helloo... yes sir... ok sir...
Karthik turns to Raji and says ... "Raji... Admin la vara solraanga...
poyittu vandhidaren... dei... Vishnu vaa daa..."
Both Karthik and Vishnu leave.

Lakshmi: Raji... presentation Susan parthuttaangalaa?
Raji: mmm...
Lakshmi: Karthik vandha udane oru thadavai avanai parthuda sollu...
appo thaan evening Sir parkumbodhu sodhappaama irukka mudiyum...
Raji: mmm...
Lakshmi: enna Raji ??? enna yosanai?
Raji: onnum illa...
Lakshmi: sari Ok... vaa polaam...
Both go to their respective workplace.

Karthik and Vishnu go to the Admin people and complete all the
formalities. He had to sign hell lot of papers. He was given instructions about his flights, place to stay and rules to follow while
being there etc., etc., finally he was given his passport and ticket.
It took around two hours and feeling hungry they come straight to
canteen. Vishnu calls Raji and Lakshmi to join them for lunch.
Karthik calls his parents one by one and informs them about his
onsite program. His mother feels like seeing him, but he promises to
come over there as soon as he returns.

Vishnu orders for dosas in the meantime. Raji and lakshmi arrive and
Raji brings biriyani from home. Vishnu and Lakshmi are happy to see
that.
Vishnu: enna Raji visesham?
Raji: onnum illa ... chumma thaan...
Lakshmi: enakku theriyum... Karthik oorukku poraan nu thaane?
Raji: aamaa... namma ooru sapappadu kidaikkaadhu illa... thirumbi
vara 5 days aagum ... adhaan...
Lakshmi: nadakattum... nadakattum...
Karthik finishes talking on phone and all of them start lunch.

Lakshmi: Karthik... Admin la enna sonnaanga?
Karthik: work permit, visa papers la ellaam sign vaangittaanga...
Passport, ticket kuduthaanga, appuram niraiya instructions
kuduthaanga...
Lakshmi: ethana mani kku flight?
Karthik: night 1.40 ku ... 10.30 kellaam checkin panna sonnaanga...
Lakshmi: Ok... entha airways?
Karthik: Lufthansa...
Lakshmi: wow... Karthik... direct flight aah...
Karthik: illa... connecting thaan... via Frankfurt...
Lakshmi: mmm...
Vishnu: ethana manikku reach aave daa?
Karthik: kaalaile 10 manikku
Vishnu: oh ... kaalaile reach aayiduviyaa?
Karthik: anga time 10 o' clock daa... inga namakku madhyaanam
2.30 mani irukkum..
Vishnu: germany kum namakkum naalarai mani neram vithyaasam aah daa?
Karthik: aamaa...
Raji keeps quite throughout the conversation.

Finishing lunch all of them gather in the conference room. Karthik
goes through the powerpoint presentation made by Raji and Karthik
runs the demo once more and does the presentation. Lakshmi and
Raji correct him in between. And after two hours, everything is
successfully finished.
Lakshmi: Good Karthik...
Karthik's gets call from David and he goes to meet him.

Raji: Lakshmi... Karthik illaama nee mattum thaniyaa irukkaadhe...
ennoda vandhidu...
Vishnu: aamaa... Lakshmi...
Lakshmi: hey... don't worry... amma varen nu sonnaanga.
Raji: eppo?
Lakshmi: evening ...
Raji: appo Ok...
Karthik meets David and he gives important instructions to him and
company's rules and regulations regarding onsite visit of employees
etc., Karthik patiently listens , assures David that he'll take care of
himself and company's reputation and comes to conference room.

Raji sees him being busy and excited as well and decides not to
disturb him.

Evening Sharp at 5.30 Viswanathan and Susan enter. Karthik runs
the demo and does the presentation pretty well. It takes almost two
hours and Viswanathan gives some suggestions.
Viswanathan: Good Karthik... sila important points German la
translate panni ready aa vachikko... so that present pannumbodhu
anga vera yaaraavadhu question pannaa... nee translate panna
yosikka vendiya avasiyam irukkaadhu... Monday while you give the demo, we'll be connected through Video conference. We'll be here to support you and clarify any doubts from client side. OK?
Karthik: yes Sir...
Viswanathan: what time is the flight?
Karthik: 1.40 a.m sir.
Viswanathan: Ok... All the best... take care...
Karthik: Thank you sir...
Viswanathan shakes hand with Karthik and leaves.

Vishnu: machaan ... kilambalaam daa... appo thaan dinner mudichittu
airport reach aaga correct aah irukkum.
Karthik: sari daa...
Lakshmi: Raji... nee ennoda vaa...
Raji: illa Lakshmi... naan auto le poyidaren...
Lakshmi: hey... amma vandhirukkaanga...keezha taxi la wait panraanga... nee ennoda vaa... unnai drop pannittu naanga porom...
Raji: sari...
Vishnu: vaa Lakshmi... modhalla naama keezha polaam ...naan athai
kitta pesanum...
Lakshmi: ok vaa...
they both go downstairs.

Karthik comes near Raji and holds her hand.
Raji: bhadhramaa poyittu vaa... mudinjaa phone pannu...
Karthik: Raji...
Raji: edhai pathiyum yosikkaadhe...ellaam nalla badiyaa nadakkum...
Karthik: I LOVE YOU... Raji...
Raji: ME TOO... vaa polaam...
Karthik: sari ... vaa...

Lakshmi and her mom drop Raji at her athai's place and go home.

Vishnu and Karthik have dinner and reach airport. Karthik asks
Vishnu to leave.
Karthik: machaan ... kilambu daa... ulla poyittu unna parka
mudiyumaa nnu theriyalai... naan parthukkaren...
Vishnu: check in mudiyara varaikkum naan car la ye wait panrendaa... in case edhuvum thevai pattaa ... naan udane vandhiduven...
Karthik: dei... ellaa papers um irukku... onnum tension vendaa... nee
kilambu...
Vishnu: Ok... bye... Happy Landing machaan...
Karthik: Thanks machaan...
Both of them hug each other and Vishnu starts the car and drives
home...

Karthik enters through the passenger lounge, searches for his checkin counter and stands in the queue. The line was so big and he looks at his watch and it was 10.45 p.m. He thinks of calling Raji and his mobile rings. Karthik attends and it was his mother. Both his parents talk to him and ask him to take care and give a lot of instructions, Karthik assures them that he's not a kid and he'll be fine.
When the call ended, he was almost near the counter , only one
person was before him. He hands over his baggage, finishes checkin, gives his passport and ticket, receives his boarding pass, immigration form, passport and goes for Security check.
Finishing security check, he moves through gates with boarding pass
in hand. He sits in the lounge and calls Raji.

Raji: Helloo...
Karthik: enna panre?
Raji: chummaa thaan irukken... nee enna panre?
Karthik: ippo thaan ellaa formalities mudinjidhu..boarding announcement kaaga waiting...
Raji: ok...
Karthik: sorry Raji... time illaadhadhunaala un kitta sariyaa pesa
kooda mudiyalai...
Raji: paravaa illai vidu... nee santhoshamaa poyittu ... successful
aah thirumbi vaa...
Karthik: Thanks Raji...
Announcement starts for his flight.
Karthik: Raji... ennoda flight ku dhaan announce panraanga...
vachidavaa?
Raji: bye... bhadhramaa poyittu vaa... I LOVE YOU...
Karthik: I LOVE YOU TOO ... bye.
Karthik cuts the call and joins the queue passes through the gate and
boards his flight.

Raji cuts the call, folds her hands and Prays God that Karthik should
be safe and return successful.
Twenty minutes later the flight takes off.

karthik's excitement abt his travel, activities related to travel keeping him busy, raji karthik kitta pesa try pannradhu but holding on..., karthi raji quick talks, karthik's parents calling and askin him to take care, raji's concern on him...ellame romba azhaga narrate pannirukenga.. loved it..

next update Berlin laya..im very much excited to see Karthik in Berlin and doing the presentation successfully ..

yes ramya ...
Raji wanted to discuss with Karthik what if she could not avoid the guy coming to see her...
coz her periappa has finalised the meet and there was no way to escape ...

but... she'll samaalichufy in her own style😉
