I am surprised that you watched the show but agreed habits die hard.
Also enjoyed your long take on today's episode...

Jee le zara is long over dear. Now this has turned into another Kekta show. Haven't you noticed the situations, the dialogues, the senseless actions of all actors now.

It's now a show of conspirators and victims, sacrifices and sacrificed, lovers spewing venom and vowing to avenge...fathers selling sons and valueless bechari mothers...this show is a typical Kekta show. Thanks to the take of charge by Sony itself. Now PH is only a puppet and our show has become a new one completely distinct from the new and fresh show it started with.

Now the background music is not the sof tones of JLZ instead it has given way to charred and overused movie songs. The chocking throat of hero which created so much pain within us has changed into mute Ganga jamunas hidden under song playing loudly in the background. The finer nuances bring replaced by loud dialogues. The realistic characters like naani and aaji taking backseat and snob suparna taking the limelight.

It's a show ended but against it there is a new JLZ which we have to make a choice to see it or not. Hoping old JLZ will return would be a torture to our own self and finding logic in this new JLZ equally senseless.

So what I liked was the change in storyline and although cliche DV's distinct shade.

Sure there will be Saachi now who will be the victim as she is now a Kekta type show heroine and will be ultra glorified for all the wrong reasons which we will not relate with and the hero becoming her torturor who will never be able to see through people ever again and now this responsibility will solely rest with the heroine.

What I find as a corona here is that I want to see DV getting strong and assertive...shrewd and brutal...as I was fed up of the DV always running after Saachi despite thrown out so many times.

I know there will be a senseless track of revenge where DV will be after Saachi's land and there will be more sobfest episodes...but here there are chances of show going any way...it may become fast and entertaining( still wil have to bear the Kekta impression on it) or will completely go down the drain. It's too early to predict so I want to give it a try for atleast some episodes to see where the show is setting.

i dont think i will like to see DV as shrewd and brutal...for two reasons...one is if any other actor then it wud hv been ok but ruslaan is too cute for that...secondly shrewd and brutal needs really fine acting which i doubt ruslaan can deliver...he is a very very limited actor and his forte is romance and happy go lucky type...

also going by DV's character i dont want to see him that way...yes no more going after saachi...i dont want to see that too...this time i want saachi to realize that she cant live widout him and so she shud be taking all steps to get him back...i dont want her "swabhimaan" as DV's dad said to take over her...her love shud be her priority and not her swabhimaan...

well letz see...i dont know whether i shud keep hope or not...i dont remember any show that went down the drain and then revived again...

Then I am much more interested to watch him as shrewd and brutal as that will give me a better change. When someone goes out of his comfort zone then it's more interesting to watch. Moreover Ruslaan is a fresh face for me and I have not seen this side of him yet. His romantic side has been already exploited to the brim now to enjoy watching him will be possible when his distinct side is explored.
I am so not interested atleast for sometime to watch his softer side again and same romance which has already lost its sheen. Also I have had an overdose of romance in this show and owing to the weak characterisation of Saachi it looks odd to me now.

So what is left is the harder side of his character...if not negative atleast stronger and not running after Saachi anymore. I am not having any hopes from this show at all so even if he fails to deliver I have nothing to lose but if he is able to deliver then I might watch this new version of JLZ for sometime. So he here when I have already accepted the fact that JLZ has ended so without hopes I have decided to give it a try.
When Ruslaan started and after watching his initial acting,...I had written off this actor. I never knew that he would surprise me later with such an improved performance. So seeing him in something which I have never imagined on him might be refreshing...much more than seeing such role on an actor who only excels in such part.

I gave nothing to lose and also I am not cribbing today. The news of PH washing its hands was the last nail in the coffin for me and I have buried that show.

Just finished watching it. Me too back to this show after a long time, was only updating myself on WU.
It was a pleasent surprise and I saw the image of old JLZ in it. DV was in full form. His dialogues were once again to swoon for. He made sence in every bit...and once again the whole episode was devoted to SaRuv.
I am so much looking forward to this post of Anu.
Not sure how long can they continue it but if they do and do it like today's episode I will have no qualms in returning back to the show.
Today everyone was in character esp DV.

@ Anu: It was a funny episode I thought.. in the sense that it was so cheesy in parts that they were laughing at themselves.. like the 'Main is love story ka hero jo hoon' dialogue, and that was the saving grace. Otherwise totally sappy. :)
