Y'all.
I have not watched this show in ages. Have not posted on this Forum ... much. Tell you the truth, it always has been a headache watching it.
I was always saddened by the fact that I could not enjoy myself watching the Title-Lead on screen! Seeing how much I love her, like ya aware. Recently heard about VD leaving the show and I was like: Yes, something! A change!
Don't get me wrong. I feel for VDians and Rishabala-ians. I'm sure it's hard for y'all.
I do not understand one thing though. I do not understand those people who want MB to end if VD does not come back. There are VDians, there are Rishabala-ians and then, there are some DD fans who do not want DD to continue doing this show, cause they are afraid to see em use DD as a doormat. I mean, C'mon Buds!
Doormat is the common trend in Indian Television, why should y'all be surprised? In every show, where the female lead has been shown standing against her abuser, the show has never acquired any high ratings. It is only when they are suffering that shows acquire ratings, and this is a proven fact!
Name me one show in which female lead does not end up being one sooner or later. It's part of the serials, deal with. It is like her own fans do not think she can carry a show on her shoulders? Hmm. This leap should have given a new ray of hope. I'm not in favour of leaps myself, but when I heard DD playing a young girl again I was so darn excited --- That's almost like a new show, new beginnings. I don't know much about this Production House, but let's take Ekta's example. She always ends up making the daughters of Female leads quite feisty. I'm sure Madhubala daughter's character will be too.
Why people are judging so soon? DD might have thought hard about and said yes for a reason. DD is her own person, can take her own decisions. I doubt she will let anyone use her. Give this Leap a month or two and then decide. I just want to see DD flourish in whatever she does. Period. If post leap, she gets that chance, should not we be more than happy to sit and watch her? And if it does not float our boat, will quit. How hard is it to quit anyway?
And where VDians are concerned ... Good luck with your campaigning. If things doesn't work out for you guys ... I'm sure VD will come back with a bang for you guys.
