After a long hibernation post IPK, i have seen something soothing and something wanting to see more or talk more or divulge in discussions!
What i liked aha lovd the most:
Fresh Faces
The chemistry between the leads
The light bantering
The bonds between the siblings
The sandwiched expressions between two wives
The extravagant sets
Zain's Voice and his eyes
Aliya's Simplicity with brain.
Powerful Men heading the family.
Bond between Gulam and Usmaan saab.
Communication between the leads that happens mostly through eyes or the eyes that conveys all - i loved the most
The strong portrayal of aliyas character
The unusual pairing of two leads with similar qualities underneath though they look quite different
The close to life dialogs
The strong BG - I loved the title track .Rabbave Grew after listening to it couple of times..BI track was like instantaneous.
The supporting cast - esp The leads parents.
The Muslim back drop - I am loving their customs. QH was scary with insane people..here people look more simple and straighforward
Powerful and accomplished Mom (chef) - i love woman with substances..
Though the story looks common, "Journey of a couple - the one especially involving Betryal from one end and helplessness from the other surrounded by socio economic class differences gel together to weave a life of their own, rediscovering their partners are exactly they always dreamt of having", what i am looking is more of the How Part. Here the screenplay and execution are very important to make it look as real as possible and avoid the Saas bahu crap with politics or building the non sensical tracks like Swaami track in IP. Of course, Surayya will eventually try to intervene between the couple but there also i can see a ray of hope with mamu trying to help aliya and zain discover each other in a new angle. Potentially, IP was at the same plane when they both got married. Somehow, after the marriage, the CVs could not execute it properly.
Here, since the story starts with the marriage, i presume, CVs have thought about the execution in a better way.
Last, i am loving the silent conversation between the newly wed. Both of them have agreed to save their fathers - one physically and one emotionally. Hence, here too the balancing art is perfect.
I liked the casual ness with which each talk and express infront of eachother without any seam. Basically, i think, they both dont have or want to impress the other. This brings a unique charm to the plot. Now, with the casualness mixed with awkwardness mixed with hatred/helplessness mixed with forces trying to seperate/unite mixed with different ideologies they both are mixed with a supporting cast and a extravagant sets gives us a promising show.
I am all excited to be part of this journey..May be this will be a chance to touch base with all those buddies we had during IP days..Sorry for bringing IP but thats one of the most beautiful part of my life wrt virtual friends.
