Chapter 19They had just entered when Rathore recieved a call from mumbai ETF office that Ayesha has met with an accident and is admitted to the Health Care Hospital.
Early morning,Ayesha went with sakshi to drop her at the airport.She dropped her and while returning back,at the parking she saw a man behind her car,she got suspicious and silently came close to him and held his collor but the man escaped and drove away in his car.She followed him but lost him on the way.Suddenly two rash bikers,took over her from either side and she lost control.The car toppled at the edge of a nearby cliff and it fell taking ayesha all the way down.
Since it was morning hours some local people witnessed the accident and rushed in for help.They quickly went down to the place where the car had stuck.They helped an unconcious Ayesha and carefully pulled her up to the road.She was still breathing but faintly.She was badly brusied at her head,which was bleeding with heavy cuts at her jaw and nose.They quickly rushed her to the hospital.
The local police checked her belongings at the accident site and found her card.They called up the ETF office in mumbai informing about the accident.They in trun informed Rathore about the same and they rushed to the hospital.
Rathore and Arjun along with Dixit reached hospital at the earliest.Ayesha was being treated and her condition was quite critical.They walked over to the ICU where she was at present.Doctors were attending her trying to stop the bleeding.
Arjun and Rathore waited at the corridor in front of the ICU while Dixit went away to take care of the formalities.Shree and chotu were informed and they rushed to the hospital.
After about an hour the doctors informed that ayesha was stable and the bleeding had stopped.But it would take her a few more hours to gain concious.So,Arjun and rathore along with chotu went to check the accident spot keeping shree at the hospital for any emergency.
On the way to the accident spot Chotu informed that his informer had seen Anurag speaking with someone at the dock two days back.The Man whom he was talking to was facing his back so couldnt see him,but Anurag was surely there.Chotu had asked his informer to follow anurag and also try to locate the person he was talking to.
Arjun and Rathore went straight to the accident spot which had been sealed by the local police by then.The car had been already pulled up to the road.Arjun checked the broken car.It had smashed from hitting at the trunk of the tree at the edge of the cliff.He checked the tree and found some car paint on the trunk.
Rathore checked inside the car intently.It looked like a crushed tin can.Arjun checked the evidences recieved from the car.It contained Ayesha's handbag,her gun hoster with gun intact in it and her phone.Arjun searched the area around the cliff and found a bullet shell at a distance towards the cliff.Rathore checked down and found the petrol tank of the car had a leak.
'Sushma ka hi kam hai,per ayesha kiyu?'Rathore retorted back angrily,
'shayad wo tumhari team member hai is liye,per jo bhi hai wo supari khata hai,'
'kiya?'
'ye dekho rathore,cigrette bud,waha pyer ke pas tha,isme supari laga hua hai,'
'check karwana hoga,'Rathore said and started walking towards the witnesses.
Chotu was talking with the local vendor,people might have witnessed the accident and those who helped to save Ayesha.But it was early morning and none of the shops or vendors were there.Only one tea stall was opened that too at the other end.He had opened his shop early today.
Chotu brought him to Arjun and he told them that he had seen a man in jeans and a brown jacket standing at the cliff two days ago.He had even drank a glass of tea at his shop.
Today when he opened his shop early morning at 5.30 he found the man clad in a black jacket and goggles standing at the far end of the cliff,smoking.The owner later had busied himself with cleaning and setting up his shop.Then customers started coming and he got busy.Then after the accident occured,he had looked towards the man and found him hurriedly walking away.
'Wo admi kaisa tha yaad hai tumhe?sketch bana paoge?'Arjun asked him,
'saab,thora thora yaad hai,wo hamesha kala chasma pehene rakhta tha,aur kapre ka collor bhi
chara reheta tha,isi liye thik se chehera dekha nehi,per jitna yaad hai utna bata sakta hu,'
'thik hai,'Chotu asked a police inspector to take him to the sketch artist,
Dixit joined Rathore who was speaking to the men who had witnessed the accident.They informed two bikers who had rashed across the car making it lose control and thus the accident.
'bikes ka number yaad hai?'
'nehi saab wo rasta khali tha na,achanak waha se aye aur jab gari besamal ho gayi to ghum ke usi disha me chale gaye,'a middle aged man informed who was returning from his morning walk then,
'kaisi bike thi?dekha tha?'
'haan sir bike dekha per kaun sa wo to,'the man said,
'thik hai ap police station jake apna bayan de dijiye,waha apko bikes ke pictures dikha
jayenge,pehechan paoge?'Dixit asked,
'jee,'Dixit took over the interogations from there.
Rathore met Arjun,who was standing at the edge of the cliff thinking.
'kiya hua Rawte?'
'kuch choot raha hai Rathore,Ayesha ka accident kiyu?tum,mein aur fir Ayesha,Sushma ko kis baat ka darr hai?'
'Pata ne...'rathore started but his phone buzzed and he had to stop.
The call was from shree,Ayesha had gained concious though she is still not well.Rathore and Arjun rushed to the hospital.
Shree was inside the ICU sitting on the tool beside Ayesha.Ayesha had a bandaged forehead and she had a channel running in her hand for saline and blood.She was weak and tired.Shree was talking to ayesha when Rathore rushed in,shree stood up to give the stool.Ayesha looked at him and smiled faintly.
'Kaisi ho Ayesha?'
'mein thik hu sir,bas wo sar mein thora dard ho raha hai,'Ayesha said softly hardly audible,
'tumhe kuch yaad hai kaise hua ye sab?'Rathore asked her,
'sir,wo meine kisiko dekha Airport ke parking mein.Meri car ke piche kuch kar raha tha,mein use pakarne hi wali thi ki wo ek gari mein bait ke bhag gaya,mein uske picha kar rahi thi,ki achanak do bike mere car ke samne aya aur mein samhal nehi...'Ayesha informed excited and wailed with pain

'Ayesha relax,its okk,tumhe kuch aur yaad hai us admi ke bare mein?'Rathore consoled her,
'nehi sir,mein uska chehera dekhti usse pehele wo chala gaya,'
'okk tum rest karo,baki hum dekh lenge,'
Ayesha nodded and smiled,turning towards the door where Arjun was standing quitely,arms crossed at his chest. She smiled at him which he returned by a short nod. He walked out and Shree too followed him.Rathore sat on the stool next to her,
'Sir I am sorry,meri wajah se woh aadmi bhag gaya,'
'nehi ayesha,aisa hota hai,aur bhag ke jaiga kaha,hum pakar lenge,dont worry,tum bas thik ho jao jaldi se,'
'Sir,ek bar sakshi se baat kar lijiye ga,wo thik se pounch gayi hain ya nehi,'
'Meine phone kiya tha.Wo safely pohuch gayi hai.'Shree barged in to inform,
Rathore and Ayesha looked towards shree who now standing beside the bed with his phone,
'Ayesha tumhare ghar se phone kar rahe hai,baat kar paogi?meine tumhare accident ke bare mein bataya nehi,'
'ohh good,Shree unhe please kuch maat batana,mein thori thik hoke phone kar lungi,'
'per ayesha,'sameer started,
'nehi sir,wo pareshan ho jayenge,mein kar lungi thik hote hi,'
'okk,'
'hum abhi chalte hai,you take care,bye'rathore stood up to leave,
'bye sir,'Ayesha smiled at him,
'Ayesha ab to bas jaldi thik ho jao,rathore sir bhi keheke gaye na?'Shree teased her,
'shree,'Ayesha barked trying to open her eyes wide,
'acha meri maa,maat ho,aram se holiday bitao,mein hi bas kam karta reheta hu,chal bye'Shree said
making a sad face.Ayesha smiled and closed her eyes after all left.
Rathore walked out to the parking.Arjun was waiting for him at the SUV.Arjun had already spoke with the doctor about Ayesha's condition.Doctor has assured them that she is out of danger and no one needs to stay at the hospital.They can visit her during visitors hours and even take her home in couple of days.
Arjun,rathore and shree went to check the airport parking for clues.They search the place and spoke to the security guards but they know nothing as so many people get in and out the whole day.Shree gets the CCTV footage of the parking and takes them with him.
They reach hotel by late evening.They freshen up and gather in rathore's room.
Shree and Chotu reach the room to find Rathore speaking with the commisioner and it seemed quite serious.He hung up the call when everyone had come in.Dixit too joined them.Arjun came last with his indefferent attitute.All settled down to discuss this new turn in the case.
Chotu brought in the evidences and the sketch made by the man.Dixit informed the sketch is of a car mechanic,Vinod,involved in illegal trades of stolen car parts.He has a garage which contains mainly stolen engines,gears,brakes,and other essentials.He had been caught a number of times but he gets punished only for couple of months or a year.When he comes out he starts again.He has a huge network here for these illegal jobs.
The evidences gathered contains a cigrette bud which had been tested and confirmed that the filter contains traces of 'supari'.The petrol tank had a leak due to which the car would have almost stopped,and the bikes could easily push it towards the cliff.
The bike model has been recieved and Dixit has circulated his network to search for such a model bike which might have some scraches on the body,though chances of getting would be difficult.
Shree checked the CCTV footage for the man who must have created the leak in Ayesha's car.The guy in the CCTV footage dressed in an purple shirt was doing something beneath the car.Dixit checked the man but couldnt recognise.The video showed,Ayesha was about to catch him but he got alerted and dodged away in a car.
Shree zoomed on the car and got the number but unfortunately the number plate was fake.
They sort down to a few points but then couldnt think of a reason why Ayesha could have been attacked.Dixit recieved a call for some emergency and he went away.
Chotu recieved a call from his informer that Anurag will be leaving for dubai in two days.
Arjun and rathore planned to capture Anurag before he left but Dixit called to inform that Vinod's garage is ablaze and vinod's half burnt dead body is found inside.
