CHAPTER-26.

Astha had just raised it to her lips,when someone called her..

She turned to see a flustered looking employee..There was some problem for sure,she thought sighing out..

Finally she had sorted out the problem,and remembered the glass in her hand..

She wanted that drink before someone else bumped in..Quickly she raised the glass to her lips,and took a long refreshing sip from it..

The lone figure in the shadow chuckled nastily..And sent a thumbs up sign to the waiter..

The waiter nodded,and left the scene..

Shlok was worriedly searching the hallroom for Astha,when a waiter with a drinks' tray walked upto him..

"Sir..?Would you like something to drink..?"

"No..Thanks.."He said unmindfully,not sparing a look to the waiter..

He scanned the crowd with a frown now..

Where is she?!

"Sir..?Maybe you'd like me to bring something else for you..?"The waiter persisted from behind him,making Shlok grit his teeth in anger.

He whirled round in anger,clearly surprising the waiter,and nearly making him drop the tray and drinks he carried.

"Didn't I tell you once,that I.. DON'T.. WANT..ANYTHING!"He seethed out in anger.His eyes burning with rage,and irritation.

"Mr. Shlok..Agnihotri.."Someone chuckled out from behind him,surprising him."Don't take your anger out on the poor man..He had come to you at my request.."

Frowning Shlok turned round and his frown cleared as he recognised the familiar smiling face once again..

"So we meet once again Mr. Agnihotri.."The man held out his hand,and Shlok took it with a smile.

"Yes we do.Mr. Rahul Singhania.."Shlok said softly shaking his hand.

"Are you alone here?Or.."Rahul looked around as if searching for someone..

"My fiance Astha is here too.."Shlok answered his query by letting go of his hand.His eyes lighting up,as he took her name.

Astha had just finished the drink,when she suddenly started feeling uncomfortable and dizzy.

Keeping the glass down on a nearby table,she stumbled towards the door leading to the garden outside..

Her vision was not clear at all,and she bumped into one or two people..

Her lungs felt like they were about to burst,and she needed lots of air to breathe..

Blindly she walked deep into the gardens,away from the groups of people partying there..Away from the sound of the party..Away from the lit up parts..Out into the darkness..

She was trying to lean on a nearby tree trunk,when a male hand closed over hers..

"Sweetheart,where are you running to..?"The voice said softly..

In her confused state her mind registered that the voice sounded familiar,but she could not trace it,as she was feeling completely fuzzy by now..

"Come on baby!Are you feeling bad?Let me take you to have some rest.."The man took her n his arms,and swept his hand across her arms..

Astha felt her skin crawl with disgust,at the act,as she tried to keep her eyes open..It was getting difficult now,and she could not even fight the man holding her..

"Oh baby!Just relax in my arms!I'll take care of you and all your needs!"The man chuckled nastily,as Astha's eyes nearly closed..

He moved his hand to touch her waist,when out of nowhere a strong punch hit his jaw..

Stunned and bleeding now,the man fell to the ground,as a tall dark figure now loomed over him now with Astha in his arms.

"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER?!!HOW DARE YOU,YOU bas***d?!"The man screamed out,but Astha frowned,as confusion still kept her mind foggy..

The second man,made Astha sit by the nearby tree,and walked upto the still figure of the first man on the ground..

She frowned again.Strangely she had not felt bad in the arms of the second man at all..

Shlok pulled up Rohan by his collar,and hit him hard on the jaw once again..

"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER bas***d!"

Then another one..Then he hit him herd on his stomach,and all the breath left Rohan's body..

"I'LL KILL YOU TONIGHT WITH MY OWN HANDS!HOW DARE YOU?!"

He was seeing red completely and went on beating him,until a crowd of people gathered hearing the noise..

"MR. AGNIHOTRI!STOP IT WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"A frantic Ashish Patel screamed in vain..

He had walked forward to stop Shlok when another hand stopped him,and pointed at Astha..

"Mr. Shlok Agnihotri is doing the right thing Mr. Patel,look at his fiance's condition..I'm sure it's all that Rohan Sharma's doing.."Rahul Singhania said angrily,as he noticed Astha was lying unconscious in her sitting position below the tree.

"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY ASTHA?!!HOW DARE YOU?!!"Shlok screamed again..

Finally some men,including Rahul finally pulled Shlok away from the semi-conscious body of Rohan,but not before he had placed some more kicks targeting his groin..

Shlok was breathing heavily,when someone gave him a drink of water..It was Rahul.

"Calm down Mr. Agnihotri..That bas***d will be punished for his deed.."He passed a disgusted look at the still figure of Rohan Sharma.Then turned back to look at Shlok."I think you need to take care of your fiance now.She's the one who needs you most now.."Rahul gently pointed at the unconscious body of Astha,and Shlok instantly became alert.

He ran to her.

"ASTHA!ASTHA?!!WAKE UP ASTHA!!OH MY GOD WHAT DID HE DO TO YOU?!"Shlok took her in his lap,and patted her cheeks gently,but she was completely unconscious now.

Rahul had walked up to her with him..

"Shlok!Take her to her room..I'm calling the doctor..Come on move!"Rahul said urgently.

Shlok nodded and ran towards the house with Astha in his arms..Oblivious of all and everything except Astha.She was the one who mattered to him at that moment.

The doctor was checking on Astha,as Shlok and a number of others including his clients,Mr. And Mrs. Patel,and Rahul Singhania stood outside waiting..

Shlok was scared to death,his face deathly pale with worry..He strolled infront of the door,impatient and ready to break into the room at any time now..The doctor was taking a long time now..

Finally the door opened and the doctor came out..
