Seleucus was actually more important in Indian history than Greek/Roman history because of the relationship with CGM and what happened later for Akhand Bharat to form.

Also Ptolemy benefitted from the rise of cleoptra...jab jab cleoptra Ka jikar hoga Ptolemy Yaad ayega...you know l egendry ceaser visited Alexander tomb in Alexanderia and began crying. He said ''this man was mere 32 when he took on the world, reached the very ends, here I am middle aged and has nothing to my name...''

You are right as history is usually seen through Greek and Roman pov because they documented it...so Selucus impact seems negligible🥱

Yes, I read about that. Imagine, Julius Caesar, who himself was one of the greatest men in history, idolized Alexander to this extent.

To be honest, I too feel after watching Alexander on this show and reading about the real one's achievements, that I've done nothing useful with my life. 😆

Rohit was saying something similar in one of his interviews, that Alexander The Great, in those ancient times, did so much in a short span so today when we have so many resources available we should try to use them to make something of ourselves.

Well both the Indians and Persians must have hated the Greeks so they wouldn't want to glorify him or his achievements. Also, after Helen married CGM, their bloodline sort of blended in with India. His son wasn't given that much importance either, and since Helen and CGM had no children, the Greek lineage didn't continue in India either. After his death, Helen returned home so that was the end of her story too.

Also, a lot of people do not want to admit that Seleucus did play an important role in the beginning of CGM's military life and Chanakya too must have interacted with him.

Well, if you remember what I said on the other thread, he is my hero. Actually, he has been my hero since childhood for his personal and military achievements. I wasn't a history buff as a kid but the last few years I've started to become more interested. I used to know his general story, but because of Rohit's Alexander, and thanks to the info you usually share, I became interested in reading about his life in more details. Then I discovered that it wasn't just his military achievements but also on the personal front that had a lot intrigue. Also on this forum I learned about the real importance of Olympias and how she shaped his vision. 😉

Also, most religious texts talk about him and his contribution to the world. It wasn't for nothing. 😉

Not even in Indian records? Surely there must be information about Helen in records of Bindusara's life? Wasn't she the one who raised him?

In the CAS show she had a son called Justin or something but I have no clue how much truth there was in the show. 😆
