Just as Rohit was born to play Alexander, so was Sameksha born to play Olympias. I can't imagine anyone else bringing such charm, elegance, and fire to the role and warming our hearts this way.

The mother-son bonding is such a beautiful thing to watch on this show! There is no need for long dialogues or soppy scenes. Despite all the "negative" things shown about Alexander to blacken his character and to a certain extent Olympias', their love for one another just shines through. It is very touching to see the level of devotion Alexander has to his mother and this sentiment definitely strikes a chord with the audience. Every time he vows to do something for his mother, we can't help feeling emotional about it. Olympias is/was a very lucky mother! This "mama's boy" on screen is really living up to the real Alexander's image of putting his mother above all else in this world.

Rohit and Sameksha's mindblowing chemistry is what makes it work! Two powerhouses of talent!
I really hope they will be cast opposite each other in a future show or will at least work together.

I agree 101%.

And it is not just how effectively and movingly their love for each other is portrayed.

It is also that their emotional scenes have such specially beautiful lines. Whether it is what Alexander tells Olympias when they bid farewell to each other, or what he says now. Such a depth of emotion in so few and such simple words.

Absolutely! Simplicity = beauty here.

We got another quote-worthy dialogue today that I am going to add to the other thread on Sony Alexander quotes:

Aap ka khauff mein samajh raha hoon maa, par woh Shah hi kya jo khud duniya jeete aur uski maa khauff se haar jaaye.

And it looks like a lot of his decisions were impacted by this devotion of his, as were the decisions she took out of her undying love for her son. Nevertheless, so beautiful whether in real life or reel life. 😃

Where is the character of Roxanne's for Olympias to overshadow? Mujhe to kuch character dikha hi nahin. Not to speak of the solo expression .But it is good that she has now been reduced to her proper place.

This said, I could not understand the reason for her sudden climbdown from the lofty perch on which she had placed herself, thanks to Alexander's folly. Why does she suddenly start hanging around him when he is ruminating, with the Paurav Rashtra ring in his hand, and when he does not even notice her, ask him to relax and forget it all? And what was the meaning - if any, which I doubt very much - of the two of them staring at each other till Olympias arrives with her irritating comments about shauhar-biwi?

I think this is the end of Roxanne till the time comes for the raakhi, and I for one am profoundly glad about it.
