Any warrior who continues to fight like that without giving up is a hero in my eyes and worthy of immense respect, no matter what the outcome of the battle. Look at all the brave people who protested and fought against the British. They never gave up and most met their deaths at a relatively young age. They were not able to defeat the British but they left their mark in history and inspired their contemporaries and future generations to keep up the fight. Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Mangal Pandey, Subhash Chandra Bose, etc. are some examples - they were heroes despite their defeat/deaths at the hands of the British.

If CVs want to show Alexander winning but Puru continuing his crusade that way, then if the portrayal is done well, both Puru and Alexander will come out as "winners" in their own way. Alexander's win will come at the cost of heavy losses in his army, of course, and Puru will have made his mark as a real hero.

It will be tricky, though. If this show is to drag further, they need to find some interesting way to, if not make these two friends, then at least neutralize their current equation. If indeed Shivdutt escapes then Alexander should probably whip him black and blu(er). 😆

I don't think so. For Porus to win, Alexander will have to lose on the battlefield, which would negate the High Priestess' prophecy.

His riding on an elephant with a spear need not mean that he wins. He was riding on one in the Takshashila adhyay as well

Historically, he was not injured; his serious lung injury was at the siege of what is today Multan, fighting against the Malli tribe. He almost died then, but only almost.

As to what can happen here, who knows? And to tell the truth, I care very little about it.
