Yes, dear. As you and many others are saying, the PH has a social responsibility that they have failed at. What shocks me the most is that there are women on the creative team who go along with such things.

Karma will come back to bite at some point.

Thanks a lot, my dear Surbhi. I came back mainly to try and make this lot feel a bit better. I don't think I succeeded, but I am glad that at least you agree with me.

As for your long post above, it is flawless in its logic and eloquent in its presentation. We tend to confuse an actor with his role all too often, especially when there is a lot of emotion attached to the actor.

As for what SidT does for Porus, Utkarsh clarified it. SidT does the story, and some Medha does the screenplay and most likely writes it as well.

OK, my dear, I am off again. Bye!

As for Rohit, this unpleasantness will pass, and sooner than you think. Plus social media comments don't translate into anything much, either for good or for bad. The fulsome praise earlier cannot get him a super role, nor will the current bashing really hurt him. All that matters for him now is his next role, and I hope it is a really good one.

I doubt if anyone in the mass audience is going to boycott Swastik. They will go on to flourish like the green bay tree. The likes of us don't count. As for the burgeoning tribe of Game of Thrones addicts, this sort of thing would be right up their alley.

As for presenting the ugly segment of last night as a raw exercise of power by Alexander, why, that was deliberate, meant to apply the final coat of black, on top of the biowarfare layer.

After you guys explained how it works with the contracts and all, I have calmed down a bit, but I still need time to process how I feel about Rohit. Right now, he's being bashed by heartbroken fans on social media for accepting to do such a scene. Just as he received immense praise for not just playing Alexander, but being Alexander, on the flip side people will take that scene and associate it with him somehow. I don't envy him his position at the moment.

As for SidT, there's a special section in a very warm place for people like him. The fact that he owns the rights to the show gives him ultimate freedom to do whatever he wants, with the channel having less clout than they usually would.

I hope this spells their decline. They don't care about TRPs anymore but I hope their PH is put on the map/boycott list immediately by viewers.

In the social sense, considering the current climate in India and concerns about rape, showing it as a means of exercising power is yet another facet that was completely unnecessary to bring to our screens. SidT's conscience clearly doesn't bother him and he probably sleeps quite well on his bed of $$$$ notes.

No dream sequence, kid. It was a nightmare designed specially for us. And I was fool enough to go.and watch it.

Actually I watched tonight's episode also, to check out the dream sequence theory. No luck with that, but I was greatly amused to see Porus lugging Roxanne into the palace and insisting that she has to be saved. Looks like he will have to open a. Macedonian ward in his palace! 😉

I think I shall watch the next few episodes for Saurabh Raj Jain's Dhananand. That should be a treat. After that, alvida again.

Ah yes, the opening episode of Radhakrisn. The sets are garish and I didn't think much of the acting, but some of the lines were beautiful, and then again, it is pleasant and does not set my teeth on edge.

Now, I don't want to seem like an opportunistic and shameless fangirl that promotes wherever she can (I am all of that unfortunately !) I may be banned for bringing in contents unrelated to the topic and the forum but am I going to overcome these restrictions to do my promotion properly 😆 ? YEAAH ! Aunty, I am risking it all for you 😆 Here is the live link to my favourite boygroup called BTS, giving their speech during the 73rd General Assembly of UN. Can you believe these are the same boys hailing from a small town of South Korea, who had to do their first performance, in a municipal park because it was the market day and all 7 of them had to cut meals and live on vitamins during their trainee days because they weren't paid enough to pay the rent and for foods. Even when their performances were shot, those were cut off the broadcast when the live channel was about to telecast all the performances. I don't want to make it feel like they went through the most gruesome ordeal and the 12 Herculean task but when I tell you they really have begun from nothing. It was only once their international popularity and sensation resounding that the mainstream local medias started interviewing them, writing articles on them etc. Yet they always kept including their Korean roots, identity, culture and language in their every hit albums and songs. This is what I am truly most proud of ! They really didn't accommodate themselves with the mainstream medias language, music genre. They kept singing in their own native language though they do include some English words in their songs and it's their fans who created YouTube channels translating all of their songs's lyrics, their interviews etc. This is something BIG ! And I hope their success will perdure even for longer. It's been only 5 years they have debuted.

Ma tante bien aimee 🤗 Slowly but surely I told you I will be able to sway it all away from my mind. I just didn't want it to make the atmosphere austere and gloomy anymore for all us. Especially for you Aunty, who isn't in the best health condition, yet you came back here, to get in touch with us and catch up with where we landed in this hell of roller-coaster, eventhouh you prevented us several times from waiting to this day till the bitter truth dawns upon us. Yet you are here, still comforting us, and trying to sooth our raw emotions while rationally going through our complaints. Aunty, as a Buddhist, even I don't have such a level of patience and wisdom. I am ashamed but also thankful to have you as a Guru 😆 I hope their speech will be able to enlighten your mood and sooth your sufferings, even just a little and bring a smile on your face 😳 It doesn't feel good to always be pessimistic, exasperated and upset by exterior elements. We also need some stories to see the bright side of life and cheer up a little, isn't it 😛 ? Take care Aunty dearest 🤗

Ma chere petite Sweety,

I don't know how to thank you for one of the sweetest and warmest messages I have ever received. Not just for bringing a smile on my face - though you meant that for these delightful boys - but for almost making me cry, and I am not the crying kind. At times, that is good for one.

See, if a child falls and hurts itself, the first impulse for someone like me is to rush to pick it up, console it, and make it feel well again. This is as true of the virtual hurt and pain you suffered as of real physical injury. So naturally I wanted to pick you up and make you feel better. And I am glad that I was able to help you get over the acute disappointment and depression.

I am nowhere near the guru level, child, either in wisdom or in patience. But one can learn from anyone at any time! In fact, I am learning from you, how someone who is not out of her teens can be so mature and thoughtful, way beyond her years. It is admirable.

Yes, one needs to focus more on accounts of personal achievement against immense odds, on feel good stories that boost our spirits. I watch KBC regularly, and there are many such people there, especially in the Friday night Karmaveer segments during the second hour of the show, which s half an hour longer on Friday nights.

But even among the regular competitors, there are inspiring stories. Binita Jain from Assam, the first one to win a crore this season, lost her husband 15 years ago when he was kidnapped by terrorists, and has never since been heard of. She had two small children then. She started taking tuition classes from home, while studying at the same time for a college degree. Now, her son is a dental college graduate and is getting his MD,while the daughter is also a professional based in Bengaluru. I was very impressed by Binita's resilience and her tenacity. You can see her online in the October 2 episode.

Well, my dear, this is it from me. I am not going to be back here, but you can of course get in touch with me any time you want by PM. Ne vous fachez pas for quoi que ce soit, soyez tranquille, et concentrez vous sur vos etudes. et tout ira bien.

Affectionately yours,

Shyamala Aunty
