Yes, Surbhi SidT writes for Porus too.
As for what you said about Rohit, I understand your point. I understand his limitations.
He did say in the beginning of the show that he had read about Alexander The Great before even watching how he was depicted in other shows and movies. He wasn't interested in history before the show, but in order to prepare for it he read up. So yeah, maybe he does or doesn't revere the legendary character the way some of us do. Who knows?
Even before yesterday's episode we were talking about how he should cut himself loose from Swastik because of the ridiculous plots in this show. The roles they offered him as Mirza and now Alexander were both based on real life characters, no creativity from the PH required there in terms of conceiving a character sketch. If the initial Macedonian segments had been stupid we wouldn't have felt this way, but the storyline deteriorated to a ridiculous level later on. It was hard to believe the same PH gave us the first 100 episodes or so considering what they did from the Faras segments onwards - it's like being dropped out of an airplane without a parachute.
He had said in one of the launch interviews that the makers had shared the script with him, so no clue what really happened. I agree with you that actors who choose to play negative roles and become very convincing because of their performance are just doing their job, just like the actors who played Darius and Shivdutt were doing their jobs.
In the case of Sony Alexander, the actor and character became one in the minds of many fans, so detaching the two is easier said than done. Logic dictates we treat it as just another actor playing a negative character on screen very convincingly but emotions don't follow logic, do they?
SidT could have made both the Porus and Alexander roles iconic without resorting to such means, but he doesn't have that vision.
I am sure Rohit will learn from this experience and exercise caution next time. Anyway, it's his decision what to do with his life and career, which I should respect. He is a very sensitive guy and all the bashing on social media is going to affect him, which I do feel bad about.
