@Vicariously, have you seen Rohit's latest instagram post, the one with the selfie in bed? His caption is really "different" from what he usually posts.https://www.instagram.com/p/BkMueJxAw_d/

I wonder what's going on.

Some people say he's frustrated because of having to rest and unable to go the gym or shoot more action sequences. Others say he is trying to divert attention from this so that people focus on the show. Yet others are saying he's just showing off, for fun.

What do you think?

Oh I saw that ! And that one person in the comment section, giving him the recette to make a turmeric milk and prescribing him vitamins 🤣 Rohit has such genuine, heartfelt and cutesie fans 😆 Yes ! I was quite astonished by the caption too but honestly for me, there isn't any reason to analyse or interpret it deeply. The boy has been way too involved in his character of Alexander, for the past 3 years, and his physicality, gestures and language, everything has to strictly follow the script and the protocol established. The prestige and name itself of the character he's playing is very overwhelming and a huge burden in itself. Plus the show is apparently going international so the audience scale is going to be expanded. It isn't just the local viewers thus the expectations are higher, especially for his character as it has to fit through every nuances and details, the glorious ancestor and the Great conqueror international and especially European viewers picture him to be. So maybe, Rohit wanted to thwart it all through a post and make people and himself realize that Rohit, the person off screen and the ordinary boy is still here 😆 ? Or maybe it's just to say a little HI ! to his dulcinee (beloved 😆 )

@luckysnow They didn't break up though 😆

Very well said. It is indeed a huge responsibility that he's fulfilling superbly. Can't be easy but I think the isolation of Umargaon itself is a plus point for him to get that much needed space. He did say that Rohit has temporarily disappeared as the Alexander character takes over him. It is important for him to retain a piece of himself, I guess but I found the instagram caption to be a big departure from his usual stuff. Once this show catches on in other countries and this character becomes known, just watch what happens to his name and fame. The real Alexander would probably have been pleased with Rohit's portrayal. You're right, he's given 3 years of his precious life to this character and trusted Sid T's vision.

I also think Rohit's performances has made Alexander and Macedonian/Greek history popular to the newer generation again. There are Greeks in many parts of the world who have started watching this show just for him, even though they don't understand the language. A Greek based in Australia also complemented him on his work and he is very likely to spread the word about this show. Rohit's down-to-earth personality is what helps him keep the right perspective considering the challenges this role has brought forward. I am extremely happy for him!

I would even go so far as to say that if he keeps up this level of performance until the end, then his work should be added to the common body of art that another actor in future will reference when wanting to play Alexander.

That's mainly the reason why I couldn't hide my disappointment when he didn't get the award. I know the awards given by those rigged and biased award shows should be in no way taken to measure or as a validation of how a great performer he is but it was the least gesture to appreciate and value the gem of actor he is. I am even more surprised that he really got no awards for Mirza Altunia. I mostly watched the compilation of all episodes of Razia Sultan, just for him and I wasn't disappointed at all. He has this grace and sensibility surrounding him like an halo for each portrayal he's done until now. Even in emotional scenes, he has this rare tendency and skill to restrain himself naturally and effortlessly to not go overboard, so the emotions conveyed to the viewers can be as realistic and poignant as they should be. Indian Television really doesn't deserve him ! This goes to show what a great actor he's because Porus is my first show with Rohit and I am already over here, defending his rights and interests with such fougue as if I've always been an eternal buddy of him 😆 I am so glad that they are viewers worldwide appreciating the quality of performance he delivers and hopefully they are more promising endeavors and more impactful projects, praises and accolades to come on his way. He really really deserves it ! While we are here, let me share an anecdote with you. First scene I shared of him with my French fellows is the confrontation scene between him and Darius before the battle of Issus, when he was glowing and beaming in his glory, and dashing as ever with that sharp Urdu pronounciation and the tact of the gestures followed by to convey how he's going to put in practise his threats. They said first they couldn't understand the language and the actor playing Darius tends to overdo it (I agree 😆 ) so they were just laughing but than as soon as Alexander got into the frame, and took his turn to speak, they unknowingly got engrossed in watching the scene. They said the tiger helmet, the warrior get up really add fuel to his blazing emerald eyes and make him look mightier and more intimidating than ever. I AGREE ! I AGREE ! I AGREE ! I was like YAAASS ! YOU ALL BETTER COME THROUGH WITH THOSE PRAISES AND MUCH MORE 😆 Rohit better starts getting the recognition he rightfully deserves !
