Oh, that would be amazing!
Olympias hasn't said much since she arrived in Bactria, it's time to see her fiery side again. Can we at least get one scene of her talking about Roxanne?

I agree Aunty, it would be beneath Alexander to blackmail or threaten Roxanne into marriage especially after she said no because of her opinion of him. That hurt his pride and the Sony Alexander at least would want a woman to be with him because she wants to and not because she has no other choice.

No more crocodiles please!

Olympias might just release one of her snakes on Roxanne and scare her into it. 😆

Why imagine such lurid things? Nothing of that kind is going to happen .

As for Philip, I remember the way Olympias treated him on their wedding night, and the vicious insults she heaped on him, especially about his ganda khoon. I was only surprised that he did not murder her then and there. She was the limit. I never thought I would ever feel this about any woman in that situation, but she brought it on herself.

There is no comparison between that situation and the present one of Alexander and Roxana.

Morever as Ayesha (LawlessLawyer) pointed out naughtily, if Olympias and Philip got on so badly, where did Cleopatra come from?😉

As for a forced marriage, the simplest way would be for Alexander to threaten to demolish Bactria. Oxyartes would cave in, and Roxana would have to do the same. But any such ploy would hurt Alexander's pride, so I am sure he will not try any such thing.

I suppose he saved her from a magarmacch, that staple saviour of stuttering romances, and she fell for him like a ton of bricks!😆

PS: I too would like Alexander to stick to his Macedonian dress. On Friday, he looked fabulous in his "little black number" and sandals with golden straps. But the hair has not yet recovered its old lustre and softness.

Little black number! 🤣

I think he looks amazing in the black robe, which seems to be reserved for special occasions. The white looks great too, but black just gives him this whole other appeal. The last time he wore one was when he had a fallout with Philip, right? Or am I missing something?

I thought there was something missing in his gear, until I realized he had no diadem on. I wonder if that was deliberate.

I am glad you spotted and appreciated that joke. It was Coco Chanel, she of Chanel No. 5 fame, who invented the "little black dress", for women, of course. I think Alexander wore it once more, but I cannot remember when.

I never really liked the Persian costume, though everyone else was gaga about it!

I did not really think about the diadem, but he seems to wear that only on occasions of state.Poor Bessus was so visibly nervous that he must have been relieved that Alexander did not come in his famous lion's head helmet!😆

Do also take a look at my response about Alexander's doting mothers on the other thread, the one about the horse. There are so many threads that it is confusing.

Lol Aunty love your sense of humour too!! 😆😆 Little black number or shall we say 'little black dress' which makes even the ladies envious 😉.
Jokes apart, I also feel that the black chiton must be reserved for state occasions and other occasions within the royal family...Alexander (on TV) wore it last during Philip's victorious return and marriage announcement to Cleopatra. Black does look good on Rohit/ Alexander...brings out his tan so well 😃. As for the diadem, he must have decided not to bring it along with him ...the poor guy already has to wear such a heavy helmet on his head.

@Taherav
Yes, Rohit carries off the black amazingly well. The whole look: black chiton, gold jewelry and sandals, complete with blonde hair and tan -> close to Greek god this one!
