Rohit was required to wear two layers of Armors in the melting heat of 40 degrees. The actor who is seen adorning heavy costumes for his role recently developed rashes because of the scorching heat and the hefty costumes. But the agonizing pain did not deter him from giving his best and he continued with the shoot.
Rohit shares, "The character of Alexander has been very close to my heart and I love playing the role. We are shooting the Persian war of Issus in the upcoming track and its mind boggling. I am wearing two layers of armors for the same and we are shooting outdoors in 40 degrees heat. I have got rashes on the front and back of my upper body because of the heavy costumes and the heat. It is irritating to put the costumes on that again but we only have limited time period to shoot for the same. The production has doctors on the set all the time for precautions.. But all this is worth it and I believe nothing can stop me from giving my best. The show must go on !

No, Deepika, it was, methinks, more to make a political point, that Alexander wanted to compliment the Persians, and reduce the distance between him and them, by adopting their dress and also some of their customs. That the Persian dress is far more comfortable for poor Rohit is a bonus!

This Persianisation of Alexander was very unpopular with the Macedonian commanders, who successfully resisted his idea of getting them to do his pair poshi!

Agree with Aunty! Rohit is too professional to want to stick to his Persian robes because of rashes. Besides, Alexander's not at war right now so doesn't need to be wearing armor. His Macedonian clothing is definitely more comfortable than the Persian robe which has all that threadwork and velvet lining at the collar. 😆

@luckysnow, I don't even know if we'll see Cleitus again. Maybe Alexander killed him already off-screen but will burn his robe in the next couple of episodes after failing to catch the 4.5 musketeers and realizing that this type of clothing is impractical for high-speed chases on horseback. The city is already on fire thanks to the super smart plan made by the musketeers (I'm going to be calling them Pauravengers from now), so Alexander won't even have to light one himself. He just has to literally disrobe and dump that shiny stuff in the burning flames. I can't wait! Good riddance. Bonus if we get to see Rohit's abs while doing this. 😉

As for why people on this show don't change clothes, that is one of the biggest mysteries. Maybe the ancient people were not as vain. I hope the cast at least has multiple identical sets of clothes. 🤢
For the war scenes for sure, they either change clothes often or at least get them laundered after all the "blood" spurting everywhere.
