@Aunty, what I meant about "lot of respect" is that he was not treated like a one-dimensional villain in the beginning. They explored his psyche. motivations, and journey before the conquest and despite the 20% screen time they managed to get us to empathize with him and even cheer him on.
As I've written elsewhere, I feel as if it's not the same set of writers working on Alexander's scenes as in the past. The tone seems to have changes. 😕
I do hope the musketeers manage to get more info without causing trouble for anyone else. At least Barsine had tears in her eyes when she met Puru in the arena. This was the only "emotion" I've seen her portray in the show. 😆 Puru understood that she felt sorry and guilty for his plight and then she just became his cheerleader. Did Alexander hear what she said about him? I wonder.
@LawlessLawyer - yes he needs a hair cut or straightener or at least a diadem. There are helmet-less scenes now so we'll obviously notice his hair more. At first I thought it's because they're trying to show him being wilder, less disciplined, more of an ayyaash. He's certainly shown drinking a lot more!
I miss the beautiful, shiny curls he used to have in Macedonia - he looked amazing, especially the way his hair curled at the back of his head. I also think all that dyeing is ruining Rohit's hair, which is why it looks like this now. 😆 We should probably tweet him or the makers for #GiveAlexanderCurls!
I have an issue with how men's hair is done on this show, in general.Only Philip and Pausanius looked good to me. Hephaestion's was always too artificial looking anyway, as is Kanishk's. The Dasyu hairstyles go with their pirate lifestyle but none of the other people seem to have decent hair unless tied up in turbans. And let's not forget the silver/golden haired/eyebrowed intern of the Priestess. 😆
I know it's a historical/fantasy show but I'm one of those viewers who gets distracted by (bad) hair.
The queens so far have had pretty descent hairstyles, though. I love Olympias' hair too, it suits her personality.
