Hey everyone!!! This is your own BlackSheep aka Ashi aka Ayesha😉😆
After watching the episode I am sure that all of us have one question.

How on earth did Olympias arrive in Faras?

A.She arrived in the business class of AirMacedonia

B.She took a chartered jet

C.She called Zeus for help and Zeus sent his chariot for her to drop her at Faras

Sahi Jawaab dene waale ko milenge 10 crore😛

After watching the precap I have a strong guess that Puru will touch Olympias' feet coz she is Maa afterall😳Olympias will get emotional and Alex will go aag baboola😆

I don't know if this will happen or not but I am just guessing😳But if this happens then I am not gonna chide Puru coz being respectful to elders is a good thing.

However I am certainly gonna throw all my shoes at the writer who thinks of such plots🤪Logic kis chidiya ka naam hai bhai??

Speaking of moms,I really liked Anusuya's bonding with Malay❤️Hope they show more of this than those Kanishk and Shivdutt.

Got a tiny RuChi moment today😳These two have a lot of potential but the CVs never utilise it😡

And I will never stop asking for it but #GimmeRoxana,#AlexAnaFTW

Last but not the least Rohit looked super hawt while polishing his sword

They really were a much more advanced civilization than we can imagine, kind of like Wakanda 😆
You know what? You may just be right about Puru touching Olympias' feet to show his respect and would complete his lecture about sar jhukana for blessings vs. to pull the rug from under the enemy's feet - compare and contrast what happened with Hephaestion.

This will intrigue Alexander even further and he'll say ab to Bharat jana hi hai 😡

Or maybe Olympias will play the mother card and say acche bacche nahin ladte and get them to call off the event. Puru will get sentimental and won't be able to refuse and Alexander will throw a tantrum because she took away his current favorite toy. 😆

Jokes apart, I think the outcome of this sequence will be a key factor in how the CVs show the result of the Battle of Hydaspes. It's challenging for them to show Porus/India losing because audiences might not like it, but at the same time, audiences may not approve of them distorting history to the point of showing Alexander lost. In fact, the makers themselves may not agree with it because through the character sketch they have portrayed Alexander with a lot of respect in mind. They have taken pains to bring up his psyche, emotions, relationships, etc.

I have a feeling that whatever happens at the end of this gladiator sequence will make the ending of the show be easier to digest by both sets of audiences. Also, Alexander's understanding of the sentimental side to Porus will help him see things in a new light before and after he reaches India.

Of course, Alexander doesn't know that Puru's musketeer friends are lurking around. I wonder what he'll do if he finds out. Will their mission to rescue Barsine fail? Or maybe instead of Alexander showing compassion towards Sisygambis we will now see Puru showing compassion towards Olympias, and then he'll know Barsine is in safe hands while she's around. Puru himself will do the kanyadaan in the Alex-Barsine marriage, he will teach Barsine how to touch Olympias' feet, and leave her a parchment with the script of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi 😆.

Voila! Mission aborted so Puru go back to Paurav Rashtra and save Malay, ruin Shivdutt's plans, regain the title of crown prince, and basically save the world (again). 😆

I don't think Alexander would be angry if Puru treats Olympias like this. He would just be astounded, flabbergasted, flummoxed, etc when Puru touches Olympias' feet even though he refused to touch Hephaestion's considering they are both azeez to Alexander. He will begin to wonder what clay really the Indians are made of that cause them to behave in such opposite ways around him and with people close to him.

Maybe he will finally understand what Puru meant about ruling over people's hearts and not through fear. If the Indians really loved and respected Alexander he wouldn't have to force them to touch his feet, they would do it on their own out of love and admiration for the ruler. (Not that this would ever happen, of course)

The late Alexander would rise from his ashes if he were to see the Sony Alexander.

@luckySnow, if they don't show the Battle of the Hydaspes, people will riot in the streets. That is, if they are still able to hold viewers' interest long enough to reach episode 200+ 😆

Ayesha,

What is this new gig of yours? If you had not retained your ID picture, I would not have known who this Perry Mason clone was!

OK, I will take C. I am sure I am correct, so how do you plan to transfer the
Rs. 10 crore? 😉 I will send you the details of my Swiss bank account.😉😉😉

If Olympias does meet Porus, for sure he will touch her feet. If Alexander is around then, he will do a triple take, and pull at his golden tresses to try and make out the puzzle that is Puru.

He will also, seeing that they had no tape recorders in those days, try and write out Puru's long bhashan, and then sit down and analyse it like we diplomats, in my service days, used to analyse the speeches of the Soviet and Chinese leaders at their Party plenums.😆 I think we should help him out by mailing him the text given in Surbhi's post on my thread. I am sure he would be duly grateful, seeing some Bharatiyas are helping him out!

And yes, if RuChi is Puru-Laachi, she was very good in that desperate moment of clinging to his hand as he is being led away to prison. Her heart was in her eyes. The contrast with Barsine in the prison scene was blinding!

I didn't find anything specially hawt about Alexander while he was whetting - not polishing, kid!- his sword, but perhaps I am too old to perceive such nuances.😉 What I feel is that the sooner he gets out of this pink and blue Persian outfit, the better. It makes him look like a dissolute maharaja, not a superb warrior, and his hair seems to need a good shampoo, or whatever the equivalent was in the 4th century BC. He looked far better before he turned to Persian sartorial fashion. No wonder his soldiers and commanders did not like this cultural contamination at all.😆

I agree completely with your para 1. This is going to be in some way a test case for Hydaspes.

But I do not know how things can be made palatable for both sets of audiences - the pro-Puru one would match his telecast time in the percentage! - for you cannot square a circle. Porus became a tributary of Alexander's after the battle, so they cannot show this and please these 80%. In fact unless they adopt the Zhukov thesis that Porus won, they cannot satisfy the "nationalist" sections. I doubt if the audience would care much if Alexander were shown losing; after all today some are claiming that Maharana Pratap won at Haldighati, so revisionist boldness seems to be in vogue!😉

And I do have some reservations wrt the "lot of respect" you feel they have shown Alexander. After showing him as a compulsive kid killer, and a murderer of old women?

Don't kid yourself that there is going to be any post facto explanation of why Alexander staged that event, including the supposed execution of the kid. There was none last night, and now the focus has shifted and it is too late for explanations.

What this means is that the bulk of the TV viewership, watching Porus halfway thru their TV dinner, will conclude that Alexander is indeed another version of Mogambo.

They cannot be expected to read his eyes, note the flash of triumph in them when Puru saves the child, and also register that earlier, when the preparations for the execution are going on, his narrowed gaze switches from left to right as his eyes rake the crowd seeking the Bharatiya.

No, Alexander, as you can see from some posts here itself, is now enshrined in their consciousness as a Jallad.

If Alexander thought a marriage with Barsine was in the offing, he would run all the way to Bactria.😉 And I would not blame him at all. As for Barsine being in safe hands with Olympias around, Puru knows nothing about that lady!😉 She would probably eat Barsine for breakfast. And she would cut up very rough indeed at the idea of anyone showing compassion towards her.😉

Finally, the mission Puru is referring to as he is dragged off to jail is, methinks, not to rescue Barsine. That is now a non starter, seeing that Alexander knows she was trying to scoot. It is to get a list of the other major Macedonian weapons besides the 18 foot sarissa.

@bold,There is a really long story behind this username😆
Ahaan!! Perry Mason clone is such a compliment for me

@purple,Sahi Jawaab Aunty!!
Wait for a while.Lemme get into Salman's Dus ka dum once.I will give all my prize money to you.😉

@red,Alex will be puzzled beyond his imagination and his poor hair will have to face the repercussions.😭

@blue,Off topic but a diplomat's job sounds so interesting
Back to the topic,as a diplomat yourself don't you think Alex would have done well in the foreign services had he been in the 21st century? He does have pretty good diplomatic skills.

Of coz!! We should definitely help Alex out.Imagine Alex sitting with around a round table with Hephastion,Olympias,Roxanna and Aristotle(still not forgiven SidT for omitting him) and trying to decipher Puru's bhashans😆
It's surely gonna be a Herculean task for the son of Zeus.

@bright red, yeah RuChi is the shipname for Puru-Laachi.Totally agree with you.Suhani aka Laachi is really expressive and she emotes well. When she is in a scene you can actually get the feels.
Barsine on the other hand is plain and bland like anything🥱

@Inlieu mentioned in one of her posts that she would like to see Alexander interacting with Laachi.
I am gonna second that.Laachi possesses a fiery and string spirit and utmost sincerity and loyalty towards the ones she cares for.I feel Alexander will be impressed with that. Not that he should fall for her but she will win his respect for sure.

@Pink,Actually yeah it was neither hot nor cold😆I think Fascinating would be a better term.😉More like I was impressed by his expressions.
Thanks for pointing out my error.😆My vocabulary has gone for a toss nowadays

And YES!! It's high time that Alexander gets out of those pink robes.
