Alexander seems to don't give a damn about her which is sad..đ.Though real Alexander was never smitten by Barsine still i think cv should have created some flame between them...but i have no prob here because historically speaking Alexander never had a thing for her...But Roxanne will be a different thing altogether...She will be in the show soon... đ
Only losers like hasti and Kanishk liked herđ what a tragedy man!
@Bold,Exactly.It would take more than just a beautiful face to win the heart of a man like Alexander.Haven't watched the episode yet but quite excited about this new development after reading your posts. As I commented elsewhere earlier, Alexander would fall for a strong woman since that's what he's always seen with his role model, Olympias. Unless there is some major character development with Barsine, I don't think he could find her attractive as is. A man like him would never really fall for just a beautiful face. He'd want beauty, brains, and bravery in his woman.
I understand you to an extent.I started connecting and sympathising with Barsine after Darius rebuked her for the first time when she spoke the truth in the PR court. At that moment I wanted someone to understand her and take care of her.Something which her father never did.By someone I mean Alex.I will not lie - I am disappointed. Barsine is the daughter of Darius. She was seen in her father's company a lot more than her mother or younger sister. Spending that much time with her father, I'd assume, she would have learned something - his cunning and political savvy.
Cv's could have shown her growing a spine after her father abandoned them. She always knew her father didn't care for anyone but himself. He did tell her once that her tears didn't matter to him. She could have taken the lead and become a growing strength for her mother and sister. Taken the lead in keeping them somewhat safe. Sure, they could have shown her rebellious side to escape. Who wants to be kept hostage in a golden cage? She doesn't really "know" Alexander, why should she just trust him? We as an audience understand Alex, but she has limited perception of him. They've never really spent time together. All she knows is what she's seen - blood, death and carnage during and after the battle. It's all about drama. I somewhat understand her need to escape. She's uncertain of their future. She thinks she and her family is a pawn which is kind of confirmed by what Hepastion said in today's episode (Yes, I understand it's a distortion from history in which Alex was kind to her family). But going by Sony's distorted version, like I said previous, I get why she wants to escape - they are living on borrowed time in her mind. Their fate is unpredictable.I really wanted to get to know this girl. I became invested in her after she stood up for Porus and India against her father. I saw "potential". I'm saddened that I never will get a chance to know her because the writers simply abandoned her. She's presently a cardboard character, we know nothing about her to emotionally connect with her. We aren't shown her inner monologue which would give us a glimpse into her present state of mind and her need to escape. She isn't given strong dialogues. She isn't shown to be skilled at anything. She isn't a warrior princess but she could still have a hobby or skill of some sort. How about showing her attending to the injured? Attending the funeral of those fallen soldiers and innocent people killed? Attempting to comfort her citizens? Its sad. We'll never get to know the real Barsine. In my opinion, the problem with the CV's is their need to pull down one character to raise another. Just like they demonize Alex sometimes to show Puru as a saint. Barsine is currently being sacrificed for who knows what. I get it, she isn't Laachi or Roxana. But she could have been "something".*sigh* This became long.

Barsine's character is confusing.Period.Girl herself doesn't know what she wants in lifeđ
She is too dependant on one person.First it was Darius and then Puru. But I never understood what her character's motivations were.First she requests help from Puru coz she knows he would come for sure. But she doesn't think of the repercussions which he might have to face in case he gets caught. Then she wants to escape but has no inkling of the aftermath of her escape. She lacks foresightedness and sensibility.
I was also very disappointed to see this. The ladies were so upset when they found out that Darius left, and now they don't care about their people? One of her biggest complaints regarding her father was that he was selfish and didn't care about people's feelings, but what of their subjects? She wants the power of being a princess but not the responsibilities that come with it. This is why I don't think she's the right match for Barsine (unless there is magically some character development). When her and Alexander's tracks intersected I expected some development for her character. For starters I wanted her to become a stronger woman and deal with the situation. Then maybe Alexander would have fallen for her new persona. But maybe her character was never meant to be strong anyway.Yes, dear, I think most of us were hoping to see more of her but feel shortchanged. I thought she would step up and fight for her people's welfare now that Darius has deserted them. Her main role so far seems to be to act as a catalyst: marriage with Kanishk, helping Puru and Co. beat Darius, send messages to Puru for help so he can meet Alexander, etc. What a waste of potential.I am really excited for Roxanna thoughâ¤ď¸I know it's too early to expect anything but I want her to be fierce, confident, independent and gentle as well. She should have a mind of her own and be tactful as well.Afterall this is the woman for whom Alexander the Great fell forđThey just need to find the right actress for Roxana and it will be perfectThey need someone really amazing to match up to Rohit and challenge him on screen. She has to be a lioness and not a mouse, so I hope the PH finds a very talented actress to play this role.
