Mumbai: Indian historical drama Mughal-e-Azam whose magic and magnificence remains unmatched even today has created benchmark for its screenplay, dialogue, songs, and acting. No film till date has come close to the picturization of this cult-classic.

K. Asif's Mughal-E-Azam holds the record for taking longest time to get made in history of Indian cinema. The masterpiece featured Dilip Kumar as Salim, Prithviraj Kapoor as Akbar and Madhubala as Anarkali.

TellyChakkar has exclusively learnt that the magnus opus Mughal-e-Azam's magic will be recreated on Indian television. The project will be produced by the acclaimed writer Anirudh Pathak under his banner Writers Galaxy Studios.

Anirudh has earlier rolled out Prithvi Vallabh on Sony TV and Chandrashekhar on Star Bharat.

If directed properly without much melodrama like daily soaps,this one can became a classic serial/series

Like they have butchered Poru and alexander character they will butcher Salim and Akbar character too

Akbar will be too cruel like alexander or too stupid like bamini

Salim like devdas over romantic

If they show Jodha she will be pati vrata stree

Anarkali will be like typical saas bahu serial heroine always scarificing for Salims family without them knowing

Hope they do not show Salims wives Man Bai, Jodha etc and butcher them too as scheming soutens of anarkali ROLF

Show makers are trp hungry.they need money.and for that they can do anything.historical shows becomes more like common daily soap can't expect anything good from them

According to http://www.bollywoodmdb.com/television/bollywoodmdb-exclusive-colors-to-launch-a-show-inspired-by-mughal-e-azam the show will majorly focus on Jehangir - NurJehan story...Anarkali will be just a small part of it.
