PART 2
Aradhya got up from where she had been lying... She tried her best to stop her father from harming Bhavri. She was here hoping she could persuade him from doing such things. Things like these would only worsen the situation. Rivalry between him and Bhavri would only deepen.
And she failed... Not only that, she had also hurt herself badly. She didn't know what hurt her more, the wound in her leg or the fact that her 'friend' didn't come to her aid this time.
Aradhya- "Kisi ko humari fikar hi nahi... Arjun ko bhi nahi..."
She sighed sadly and wiped her tears. The pain in her leg was killing her.
Aradhya- "Shayad maine kuch zyada hi ummeed karliya Arjun se..."
.
.
.
Down the cliff, Shamsher's car came to a screeching halt.
Shamsher- "Aaji amma! Hum aagaye!"
He dashed along the steep path through the bushes and climbed up the cliff. The view on top was spectacular. There was enough room to park a car or two and enough space to fight. There were tyre marks. He walked to the other edge to notice that there was a rough road on the other side leading to the top. How could he forget there was a road and he could drive up the hill from the other side? Tension always had this side effect on him. He always tended to be forgetful in such situations. He smacked his head and then sighed.
Shamsher- "Par aaji amma hai kaha?"
At that moment his mobile beeped. It was Manchala.
Manchala- "Bhaiya ji sab thik hai. Thakurayin thik hai. Arjun bhaiya ji ne sab sambhal diya.."
Shamsher smiled and breathed a smile of relief. He knew his bhai was capable. They were Sher Singh's sons after all. HE ended the call.
Shamsher- "Saale Tilak ko iski keemat chukani padegi!"
Muttering angrily he began to walk away, that was when he heard a car moving up. He turned to see that a few armed men stepped out of a car. He picked up his gun but then noticed that they were heading towards a different direction.
While he was lost in thoughts about who they could be, a loud voice interrupted him-
Voice- "hum nahi aayenge aap logoke saat!"
Shamsher- "Tilak Raj ki londiya?"
He walked a few steps to take a look at the scene. Thankfully there were some trees and shrubbery on hill top that made him keep a watch from a few feet without being noticed.
Aradhya- "Bauji se kehna ki wo apne dushman ke peeche hi bhaagte rahe! Beti ke liye samay barbaad karne ki zarurat nahi hai! Hum apna khayal khud rakh sakte hai. Adat hogayi. Bees saal se jaari hai. Paach saal ki thi jab maa ghuzar gayi...!"
Aradhya growled,.
.
Shamsher frowned at the new found details. So the girl is unloved and lost her mother.
Shamsher- "hume pata hai ki apno ko khone ka dard kya hota hai... humare bhi toh maa-baap..."
he chided himself. This girl must not stir his emotions! He would never let anyone come close to doing it...
He watched in awe as the men retreated in the vehicle they came... So the girl won?
Shamsher- "hmmm.. kafi ziddi hai ye londiya. Himmat bhi hai bohot. Kya baat hai!" *smiles coyly*
He walked ahead to greet the fiery mistress in aloud voice.
Shamsher- "Kyu nahi gayi unke saat? Itni dhoop mei sun bath karna hai kya?"
She looked at him startled by his sudden appearance then covered it up making a bored face.
Aradhya- "tum?"
Shamsher- "haan hum."
Aradhya- "Badi jaldi aagaye! Waha tumhare aaji amma ki jaan khatre mei thi aur tum kaha the? Nashe ke haalat mei behosh?"
Shamsher- "ehh londiya. Jaanti kaa hai humare bare mei? Haan? Hum kahi fas gaye the. Aur jaante the, humare bhai ke hote, koi kuch nahi bigaad sakta humare aaji amma ka. Waise bhi hum tumhe kyu bataye... ek baat samjah mei naa aya, tum yaha kya kar rahi ho? Khud khushi toh nahi karne aayi na? Haan? Obviously, Zindgi se tang agayi hogi. Isliye toh kehte hai, Bhavri devi ke poton se uljho mat!"
Aradhya- "accha? Agar tum log Bhavri Devi ke potey ho, toh hum bhi Aradhya chowdhri hai! Kisi se kam nahi hai!"
Shamsher- "haan... haan... Idher kaiko aayi tu?"
Aradhya- "hum tumhe kyu bataaye! Tum se matlab?"
Shamsher- "haan hum se matlab..." (looks bored n then startled)
That was when he noticed how her leg was wrapped in her dupatta. He looked at her to confirm her dupatta was no longer in its place. She wore a plain pink salwar and sharara pants. For a moment she felt uncomfortable under his gaze.
Aradhya- "kya kar rahe ho! Mujhe check out kar rahe ho? Badtameez! Jaao niklo yaha se!"
she turned her face in the other direction muttering angrily and he laughed.
Shamsher- "hum tumse aagya nahi lete mayya mori... aur hum bas dekh rahe hai, ki... sherni toh ghayal hogayi! Uske sher ke rehte! Ye hua kaise!?"
Aradhya- "Uske sher?" :O
Shamsher- "Haan. Arjun. Wo bhi toh sher hai. Arey Sher singh ke bete hai hum! Aur Arjun ke rehte tum-"
Aradhya- "Arjun sirf dost hai humara..."
Aradhya shouted aloud.
Shamsher- "accha! Kis tarah ka dost hai humara bhai? I mean... very bad! Tum ghayal hui aur wo tumhe chod ke nikal gaya.. uski aaji amma ko leke... kaisi dosti hai, kya aashiqui hai... ek dum heart touching!"
Aradhya- "tum kya karte? Tum bhi apni aaji amma ko hi chunte na? Tum kya karte jab uss ladki ko chot lag jaati hai jisse tum bohot pyar karte ho? Kya karte tum...'
there was a moment's pause. He looked at her intently and replied.
Shamsher- " Haan bachaalete aaji amma ko, kisi tara. Fir bhag ke aate uss ladki ke paas. usey uthaate apni baahon mei, lejaate apne saat... aur tab tak uska saat nahi chodte jab tak wo puri tarah se thik naa ho..."
Aradhya was rendered speechless..
* eye-lock*
Shamsher- "Kya hua?"
Aradhya looked away, flustered.
Aradhya- "tum? Tum ye sab karoge?"
Shamsher-"pyar mei karna padta hai doctor-ni... kyu?"
there was a pause as they had another eyelock and suddenly, Shamsher smiled a bit and then laughed out loudly. A bewildered Aradhya looked at him confused.
Shamsher- "par hume pata hai. Aisa din humari zindgi mei nahi aayega. Kyuki hume pyar ho hi nahi sakta!"
Aradhya seemed annoyed. How bad can her day be? First the kidnap drama, then the bullet injury and now Shamsher!
Shamsher- "Khair! Hume jaana hai... dhoop mei sadte rehna.. take care... haan?"
he gave a flying kiss like usual and walked away.
Aradhya was lost in thoughts. She must have asked Sher's help... Did he call him Sher? She examined her wound unwrapping her dupatta and grimaced. Unknowingly, someone who came back also took a glance at the wound.
Aradhya- "wah beti Aradhya. Itni ghayal hai. Papa ke aadmi ko wapis bhej dia. Haat mei mobile bhi nahi hai! Khud ko kaise bachayegi tu haan... Itni attitude kyu hai tujh mei..."
Shamsher- "kab se hum bhi wohi sawal karna chahte hai!"
Before she could think of whose voice it could be, two strong arms lifted her up from the rock where she'd been sitting-
Aradhya- "tum??"
Shamsher held her in his arms (bridal style) and smiled at her.
Shamsher- "haan hum. Aur kon? Yaha aaspaas door door tak aur koi banda nahi hai."
Aradhya- "neeche utaaro hume!"
Shamsher- "arey hum tumhe bachane aaye hai. Madad karne aaye hai."
Aradhya- "Kyu?"
Shamsher- " arey kyu matlab!? dushman ko itni aasaani se marne nai dena chaiye! Let me help you londiyaa..."
Aradhya- "ugh!"
She began to writhe and whine...
Shamsher- "arey arey! Sherni shaant hojao.. gussa na dilao hume! Humara iraada badal gaya toh koi nahi bachayega tumhe!"
Aradhya- "tumhari help lene se accha hai ki main yaha se neeche kuud ke mar jaaun!"
Aradhya glared at him... Shamsher smiled coyly...
Shamsher- "accha?"
he walked towards the edge of the cliff, carrying her in his arms...
Shamsher- "ahh perfect setting hai mauth ke liye. Chal abhi mar jaa thik hai..."
he acted as if he would throw her down. Aradhya looked down and suddenly got scared because of the altitude..
Shamsher- "chal alvida kehde duniya se doctor-niii..."
he made another attempt to throw her (playfully) and this time she screamed and hugged him tight wrapping her arms around his neck, buried her head in his chest.
Aradhya- "nahiii!!"
this sudden movement caused him to trip, but he managed his footing... carefully he stepped back and put her on the ground to take a deep breath...
A moment later, both were breathing heavily, that near fall had blown their senses.
Shamsher- "uff marwaadiya aaj tumne!"
he took a few deep breaths and that was when he noticed their position. Aradhya was still in his arms, one of his arms was on her waist, one of her arms was around his neck, she had her head buried in his chest again.. her other hand clutching his shirt, her breathing coming out in gasps... this was... something he couldn't describe. She looked so fragile as if she'd break if touched. He couldn't push her away. Involuntarily he touched her head... causing her to look up...
He brushed her hair a bit as their eyes got locked...
Shamsher- "ab tum thik ho..."
Aradhya didn't say a word. Perhaps this was what she had been longing to hear, someone's company that made her feel safe. But this was... the person who was saying this was... All this was so unlikely to happen. But then it happened. She looked way and realized how she was standing up close to him... and moved back... the pain in her leg caused her to loose her balance but he caught he in time, holding her by her waist. He steadied her and as she stood, he once again picked her up in his arms and began walking down the cliff.
This time she didn't protest...
He reached his car and made her sit in the passenger's seat and got in. fastening their seat belts they set off towards the town.
.
.
.
A while later...
Shamsher reached City hospital where Aradhya worked as a doctor. He went in, called for a help.
Malini, Aradhya's friend began blaming Shamsher for injuring Aradhya, but she tried her best to explain that he had been her unlikely saviour.
That night, BD's Haveli-
Shamsher, Arjun everyone was happy that nothing major happened. That Aaji amma was safe, only mildly injured.
Shamsher was still thinking as to why he helped that girl. It was for Arjun. Because she's Arjun's friend as he described. Because he was human after all.
Shamsher thought- "Kyu uski madad ki humne! Kyu? Dushman ki beti hai who aur... usne humari madad bhi nahi mangi..."
Paach saal ki thi jab maa ghuzar gayi...
Shamsher thought- "uski baatei humare dimaag mei kyu bait gayi? Uski aankhei..."
He brushed her hair a bit as their eyes got locked...
"ab tum thik ho..."
Shamsher thought- "nahi! Hum kabhi bhi uske khayalon ko apne dil aur dimag mei aane nhi denge... Kabhi nahi... Kya kya boldiya humne waha!"
" Haan bachaalete aaji amma ko, kisi tara. Fir bhag ke aate uss ladki ke paas. usey uthaate apni baahon mei, lejaate apne saat... aur tab tak uska saat nahi chodte jab tak wo puri tarah se thik naa ho..."
"pyar mei karna padta hai doctor-ni... kyu?"
Shamsher smacked his head and thought- "Kabhi aisi galti naa hogi humse. Kabhi nahi... humara dil kisi ke liye dhadke, ye ho hi nahi sakta!"
Manchala sadly recalled how he injured that Londiya. Shamsher and Arjun were shocked. Especially Arjun... how could he forget that she was injured badly. Manchala hoped that the girl was saved by her father.
Arjun didn't say much but was upset with himself. What kind of friend he is?
Arjun thought- "humne uski taraf mudke dekha bhi nahi. Humare dimaag mei uska khayal hi nahi aaya abhi tak, aaji amma ke dekhbaal karte hum bhul gaye uske bare mei. Kehte hai dosti ki hai toh nibhana padega. Shayad hum dosti karne layak hi nahi hai... Shayad hum mei itni himmat nahi hai ki hum Aradhya k liye saaree hudein tod lei..."
"arey sab kis soch mei dubey hue hai bhai? Chalo khaana lagaa hua hai... chalo aajao!" Bhavri called everyone.
Dinner was ready Arjun acted normal while Shamsher didn't utter a word about his encounter with Aradhya.
.

.
.
A while later, At her place, Aradhya was resting after dinner,
She recalled her friend's words at hospital...
"Shamsher ne tumhe bachaya? Oh my god! Chalo kisi ne bachaya tujhe! Issey ek baat sabit hoti hai, koi bhi insaan itna accha ya bura nahi hota, jitna hum uske bare mei sochte hai..."
Aradhya had to agree for once. No matter what an arrogant jerk Shamsher was, she must thank him for being her unlikely saviour.

Fin!
AN: That was really long and very descriptive. I tried to keep it close to the show. So yes, Hope it dint bore ya guys! :) :P
Like I said this OS was written keeping the show's POV in mind. I tried to portray how Shamsher comes to her aide while Arjun fails to do so. Personally I think in the future, upon knowing the true meaning of love, Shamsher is the only one who can go leaps and bounds to save his loved one, Arjun on the other hand might be bound by limits... Dint mean to degrade any actor/character. Just a piece of fiction.
Hope u liked. No bashing plz.
