Tanushree Dutta and Sonia Kapuur inaugurate Powerhouse Gym
Gyms have a great importance in today's life particularly in stars' lives since they always want to look stylish and fit. Thus they are found doing work outs in gyms. A large number of gyms have emerged in India and most of them are being launched in the city of dreams - Mumbai. The heart-hitting gorgeous-sexpot Tanushree Dutta (former Miss India) and actress Sonia Kapuur of the Remix and 'Piya Ka Ghar' fame inaugurated yet another gym in Mumbai.
One of the best gymnasiums in India and equipped with all modern facilities to work out, Powerhouse Gym is a foreign brand and this is the first Indian outlet that has been launched in Mumbai. This gym has more than 2 million members worldwide and is regarded as one of the most respected brands in global fitness industry. The gym provides services like circuit training, personal training, cardiovascular equipment, spinning wheel, Health Caf, Weight Loss/Weight Gain, Steam, Kickboxing, DJ Music, Power Yoga, Hair Salon, Pro Shop, and Pilates.
Gupta's have the Indian franchise for this brand in pocket and they are swathed with the license to run it in seven countries mainly the SAARC region and Mauritius.
"Our facilities stand out and are simply the best. Fitness market today is raw and with the growing health awareness amongst the people we want to give them the best," says Ankush Gupta - CEO, Powerhouse Gym India.
Tanushree and Sonia also worked out in Powerhouse Gym, which has spent 30 years on global scene and has worth with its members.
Narayani Shashtri, TV actor
Height:5 foot 5 inches
Weight: 53 kgs &nb sp;
Breakfast: During summer, I generally have a glass of neem juice just after I wake up because it's good for health and clears my system. After two hours, I have one or two mangoes.
Lunch: I have chapattis or rice and vegetables. I don't eat chunks of meat but enjoy the curry of a non-vegetarian dish. I don't have a huge appetite.
Mid meals: I eat every two hours in small quantities. As I don't have a huge appetite, I can afford to eat at regular intervals. I have salads, sprouts, fruits, sandwich, and omelette- anything that is healthy.
Allergic to: Sweets. Hence I don't have a sweet tooth at all.
Dinner: I have my dinner before 8 pm. Since I eat every two hours, I eat whatever is cooked at night. I know it's not good to have rice and go to bed. But since I have an early dinner, sometimes I have rice, dal and veggies.
Work out: I work out every day after I pack up, which is generally quite late at night. I alternate with cardio and weights.
Says nutritionist Naini Setalvad:
BREAKFAST: This could be best vice-versa. Narayani's breakfast is too little while dinner is the heaviest of all the meals, so she could increase the quantity of fruits at breakfast time.
LUNCH: Salads need to be added at lunch time. Avoid red meat completely. Alternatively fish is a better option or chicken (without skin).
MID MEALS: Her mid meals, even though in small quantities, could be mixed with raw veggies e.g. salads with sprouts, sandwiches with vegetable slices and omelette with veggies mixed in it.
DINNER: For dinner, shift to brown rice instead of white rice.
EXERCISE: It's completely against nature to exercise at night. The body needs to rest, digest, assimilate the food and work towards repairing and rejuvenating cells, tissues, nerves, bone muscles. The metabolic rate is at the lowest level at night. By exercising at late hours, this rate is pushed up and hence rest repair and rejuvenating work is disturbed and thrown completely off gear.
