@Scene: At this point in time it's a little wishful thinking, something I'd truly enjoy watching. I mean, getting back dacoit Phulwa, Abhay being able to revisit his old avatar and in essence, turn back time and undo his own mistakes. At the same rediscover his love for her not just through circumstance but truly fall in love with her this time.
LOL totally agree with you, by the time I reached the end even I was thinking to myself, wah, I'm speaking as though they're already in the kabiley now😆 Khair lets see what really has happened to him, and then from there we can start discussing the pros of the situation:))

@Actual amnesia track: Funny thing is, that's the first thing I actually got worried about, that they will bring it to somewhere just after the reveal and before the marriage track. Exactly as yuo've pointed out, Thakur could easily cook up some story about her agreeing to serve him in exchange for being released from jail. And she suffers under him.
In such a situation, once again as you've said, the saving grace will have to come from Abhay himself. Abhay would've totally expected her to act like she first did after her marriage, and hopefully her sudden change in character, like her defeated face and a show of concern for him would start off alarm bells in his head. At the same time let him start to understand her more.
Perhaps she can somehow start off a conversation similar to the kabiley one, where she tells him that even though he has done all of this to her, she cannot help but feel that behind it all is just a lonely boy looking around for love and acceptance, and their situations aren't so different. And yes, fall in love with her because of who she is, not because she almost died.
Ughh sigh yaar. Then of course we ask, why go through all that drama in the first place? Why make him take such a painful journey, only to bring him back to the same place.
Funny, the only analogy I can think of is that he was simply playing a game, and he failed this level so they brought him back to the first point where he autosaved, the day he revealed himself to be ACP.
