The glitterati partied at the Novotel hotel in Juhu, Mumbai last night, in honor of artist Ali Zafar's birthday. Although it was Ali's night, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif took away some of the attention from him. The paparazzi were all over Katrina as she entered the event ready to have a good time with Ali and his friends.It seemed like Ali didn't mind at all as he continued to have a great time and even posed for pictures with Katrina for the media.Katrina was dressed casually in a tank and jeans which made sense since she came in from the humid weather. Casual attire was the dress code for the night and everyone else was also sporting their summer casual wear. Actor Imran Khan was amongst members of tinsel-town that attended the party. He didn't take away attention like Katrina did, however the photographers surrounded him as well. Imran was in a good mood and ready to party.

Actor Ali Zafar is reportedly trying to get closer to actress Katrina Kaif both on as well as off-screen. The Tere Bin Laden star is acting alongside Katrina in her upcoming movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. The Bollywood actress, who was rumoured to have dated Salman and Ranbir Kapoor in the past, has reportedly no problem in bonding with Ali.

According to sources, Ali Zafar has been telling people that he and Katrina Kaif are more than just friends. Sources claim that he is trying very hard to get extra close to her. He keeps her company and entertains her in between shots. It is also said that the couple were spotted spending some time at Ali's apartment.

Ali Zafar is playing the fiancee of Katrina Kaif in the musical romantic comedy Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. It is not clear why he is getting more close to actress Katrina. But the actress' friends think that the budding Bollywood actor is just trying to use her as a ladder to fame.

Ali is currently busy with Yash Raj Films' MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN with Imran and Katrina Kaifin the lead.Now a source reveals that Ali Zafar is planning to showcase his painting side too and is thinking of casting Katrina on his canvass. Adds the source, "Ali Zafar is an artist to the core. Be it acting, singing or painting. So, recently someone suggested Ali to paint Katrina, the actor spotted a smile in agreement and might actually go ahead to do it. But, no one knows how soon will that be."
