Popular Punjabi actors Sukhi Pawar and Razia Sukhbir roped in for Life OK's Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja

Recently, we had written about Imtiaz Punjabi and art director Chokas Bharadwaj's Scaling Heights Productions coming up with a unique drama on Life OK, titled Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja.

The show based on an army back-drop, which is to be completely shot in the soil of Punjab, has roped in few popular faces from Punjab to play integral roles.

Famous Punjabi actor Razia Sukhbir, who started her career as a theatre artist and has been the main face in many Punjabi movies like Jatt Boys, Veeran Naal Sardari, Desi Munde, Jatt James Bond and many more, will be making her debut in Hindi TV with this show.

Also, known Punjabi singer and actor Sukhi Pawar, also known as Mannat Singh will be part of the show. Sukhi has sung popular Punjabi albums, Haaniya and Whisky. She has starred in many Punjabi films including Tere Ishq Nachaya along with Gavie Chahal and Dakssh Ajit Singh. Sukhi has also done a Bollywood movie along with Shakti Anand titled Haule Haule Ho Jaayega Pyaar.

A reliable source tells us that in order to bring the essence of Punjab in the characters, few popular actors from Punjab have been roped in. While Razia Sukhbir will play the main negative role in the show, that of Nikkhil Chaddha's mother, Sukhi Pawar will be seen essaying mother to the female protagonist, Gulki Joshi.

We tried contacting Sukhi, but could not reach through to her.

When contacted, Razia Sukhbir confirmed that she is shooting for the show. However, she preferred not to talk much on the show.

For the uninitiated, Karam Rajpal and Gulki Joshi play the leads, while Nikkhil Chaddha will be seen as the anti-hero. Noted Bollywood and TV actor Ravi Jhankal has been roped in to play a crucial role.

The show is expected to launch sometime in April (2014).
