1. Niranjan got a beating of his life - excellent. Well deserved. I always felt short changed that TVS only got a couple of punches in before Niranjan was politely escorted out by Aditya !!!!!

2. MS's reaction in your story is more of how expected her to react. She would doubts/concerns so she would never have accepted Sugni like she did or fall all over her for no apparant reason. She cerainly would never side with an outsider(Sugni) against her own son.

3. Showing that below that mild mannered polite caring man is a very strong individual who if he chose can make Reva's life as difficult as she has made his. Certainly his comment that she can leave with her brother if she does not like it, should certainly make her realise that she is on dangerous ground.

4. keeping true to the original TVS who was always soo fiercely protective of Sugni

Chapter 14

"Vickraaam! Vickraam!" Maa Thakur Shouted from upstairs the next morning, she sounded frantic . Vickram came out of his room and saw his mother outside his wife's room. She Looked frantic.

"What's the matter maa?" he asked her

"Reva 'Oh God 'Vickram hurry!" She said . Now what, he wondered. He hardly saw her yesterday after he made sure Neeranjan left she kept her self to her room, after he got home and he was happy about that.

He was still angry over what happened to Sugni, it took all of Vickram's self-control to stay away from her after he left her in the guest house. All he wanted to do was stay at her side and hold her , let her know everything would be ok. But she claimed she just wanted to rest so he let her be. Even though he was in here his heart was in the guest house though.

On reaching the room Vickram could see his mother was crying! What the hell? "Maa"

"Quickly Vickram 'we need to get her to the hospital'Oh God why did she try to do this'Why?"

"What ? What did she do?" Vickram asked going into the room. His question was answered before his mother could open her mouth. Reva was lying on the bed as though asleep , but there was a medicine bottle open and the bottle was empty. Oh Lord.

Moving over to the bed he shook her, "Reva'Reva'get up'Reva!" lightly tapping her face but she remained unresponsive .

"We need to take her to the hospital, hurry!" His mother said frantically.

Doctor Suman looked at Vickram and Maa Thakur across her office desk with an open look of disapproval. A few hours after they brought her to the emergency room. Thankfully they were able to revive her , and clean her stomach, and she was now resting comfortingly. "How could you let this happen? The only reason I have not contacted the police isbecause I know your family so well." She said.

Police? Maa Thakur looked at her son worriedly. If the police got involved this would be a disgrace for the entire family!

"You of all people know she is in a fragile state , any deep shock can send her over the edge! " She said.

"Yes, but Dr. she was ok..I mean there was no indication'."

"Mr. Singh, as far as I know Reva and her brother has always been together, even before your marriage. Am I right?" She asked him.

"Yes..that is true 'but Dr."

"According to what Reva said, her brother was falsely accused by one of your servants, and was thrown out of the house! Of course that will not only seriously affect her mentally 'had something happen to her you all would have been in trouble.! Because I know your family well Mr. Singh I did not report this attempted suicide.."

Dr. Suman Sighed.

"Mr. Singh, I know this is not easy for you, but we agreed you would take the process slow to make this easier on her 'this is not slow'you keep this up and she will end up in an asylum for the rest of her life!" She said. "As of now I am afraid of how she will take the divorce.!" She shook her head.

"What are you saying doctor?" Vickram Asked

'I mean'you bring up this divorce right now and we will have a repeat of this, only much worse. Reva is in a fragile state you have to be careful with her!. Look I know this is not what you want to hear, I am sorry. But if you want to take that chance I can't stop you'but I can advise you'and my advice is bring her brother back..with him around she will be more accepting of the devorce . I am sure." She said.

Vickram looked at the doctor in disbelief. Was she saying his divorce was not possible.? Unless of course he wanted her death on his conscience!.

Sugni was in the kitchen preparing to leave for the night. No one came home for the day. All they knew was Reva Malikin was in the hospital. Sugni hoped she was ok. But as the day wore on and even Maa Thakur did not show up, she began to get worried.

Sugni heard sounds in the living room and came out to see Vickram coming down the stairs.

"Thakur Mallic!...you are back I did not hear you'how is Reva Ma'am?" She asked concerned, he looked so tired and worried.

"She is going to be alright'she should be back by tomorrow!" He said.

"That is good!" She said .

"Yeah'"

"You must be hungry let me get'"

"No don't worry'we had something to eat at the hospital'but some tea would be nice! Join me please I need to talk to you about something important!" he said

"O-o-K"

A few minutes after, Sugni was sitting with Vickram on the patio. After a few minutes of silence , she said. "What the matter Thakur Mallick'you seem worried'"

Looking at him. Vickram let out a tired breath'no point in putting it off , she would find out soon. He just hate that he had to say this to her.

" I am sorry Sugni, but Neeranjan is coming back'I tried to prevent it but '" He sighed helplessly. Under his mother's warning Vickram was helpless. It was not that he could not defy her, but he also know her health was not the best these days and putting extra stress on her would not be well.

So he complied to her order. Neeranjan came not to long after Vickram called him it was as though he was waiting for that call. He was all apologetic and saying that he was sorry to have caused this problem for his sister and had he known this would happen he never would have talked about the incident! Vickram did not believe one word he said.

Sugni looked at Vickram as he told her that Reva tried to commit suicide, and the doctor saying she needed her brother, and how Maa Thakur was insisting that he bring him back.

"is he here now?" She asked not sure how to react to this piece of news.

"No he is staying the night at the hospital, he will be here tomorrow. But Sugni I promise you'he will not dare come close to you. I will make sure of that. In fact you can come to work in the fields with me, so you don't have to be here with him!' Vickram said.

Sugni thought about his offer and wondered if she should accept it, but then she remembered what Reva was saying about her playing "Wife." The last thing she wanted was to cause more problems in his life. And she could imagine what they would say if she was working all day long with him.

"No Thakur Mallic..I'll stay here, Maa Thakur is also not well and she will need help in the kitchen also I am sure Reva Madam will have to rest. I- I will stay out of his way'a-and the locks are changed na'so I will be fine." She said. She was nervous about it.

"Listen I don't want you to feel unsafe here." He said looking at her seriously. "If he even looks in your direction from now on I want to hear about it, you hear me. I don't care what they say, Sugni, as I told Maa, this is his absolute last chance, and only because of her. She assured me she would not give him the chance to slip up..but I don't trust him."

"I'll be ok'" She said to him. It again amazed her the amount of concern and consideration he continued to show on Sugni. She knew that it was becoming a problem.

"Thakur mallick'I am so sorry'all of this was because of me. The last thing I want to do is make things any more harder for you. I can leave'" she started.

"Really?" Vickram said. "And where are you going to go.?"

"Champa'"

"Champa's? back to the bedni's ? then pretty soon you'll go out to dance'for a way to help them and pay your way'is that it? Is that what you want. Because we both know you will never live there for free." Sugni looked at her lap. He was right , she would look for another way to help campa and her old mother out. Champa's mother bearly made enough to feed her self and he only daughter, if it was not for Rattu helping them out sugni was sure Champa would have been joining her mother in the Raai dances by now.

"Sugni I did not go through all of this trouble to get you out of there, just for you to go back." He sighed.

"I know it seems hard now, but believe me I will never stand by and see anything happen to you. I don't care who has anything to say about that'because I lo'" Vickram snapped his mouth shut. Oh God was he just about to say his innermost feelings. No big mistake. Thinking quickly before she could realize what he was about to say Vickram closed his eyes and said'"Because I know the truth, and it dose not matter to me what any one else think. And I won't abandon you just because of what others say.! Becauseif you were to go back there and something happens to you I won't be able to live with my self!" He whispered . Looking at her.

Sugni's head shot up as she stared at him. Her eyes connected to his , as she felt that strange pull in her stomach again , her heart began beating a little faster. There was some emotion in his eyes, it was deep she knew. Why was she feeling like this ? What was going on with her. All she knew is she felt as though he was pleading with her to stay, even if he did not say it , his eyes said it. And she did not think she had the strength to refuse him.

Blinking her eyes rapidly she broke the contact. She was feeling confused. "I won't go." She said softly.

"Promise" he whispered.

"Promise" She whispered.

Vickram let out a silent breath of relief. She was the only piece of brightness in his dark life. If she left life back in this house would revert to that lonely hell it had become over the past year. Maybe it was selfish on his part in wanting to keep her here. Maybe it was time he be a little selfish he thought.

For now he would not examine his motives much. All that mattered and all that was important was that she was not going anywhere.!!!

Reva lay on the hospital bed looking at Neeranjan pacing up and down. To say he was mad was an understatement.

"Hmm fool proof plan huh?...this was part of your plan getting me kicked out!?" he asked her.

"Relax'relax'I got you back in naa!...don't worry!" She said pacifying.

"Out'the bitch attacked me 'and Vickram'.God I was this close to killing that bas***d'he hit me'instead I had to come back here and grovel at his feet!" Neeranjan said.

'Well that was your fault ..I told you seduce her not attack her'My God man'what you could not wait a while .."

"She's a Bedni'they are not known for being so'ummm stuck up'how did I know she would go running to the old woman!..." he said . Oh Sugni would pay as well.

"Don't you dare!" Reva said noticing the glint in his eye. "You will be on your best behavior when we go back'in fact don't even look in her direction." Reva said

"Bu..but How'" Neeranjan said

"Patience brother ..you will get your turn with her, and he will pay for raising his hand on you'right now we need to let things cool down. For now'at least he knows that the divorce is not going to be easy'and I have a trump card on my side'Maa Thakur. Poor lady she can't see injustice done to her poor helpless bahu!" She laughed'.

Reva 's return to the house was a somber one. The doctor said that they had to keep her calm and happy. Maa Thakur made sure all her favorite meals were made, and her room was perfect. After bringing her home Vickram made sure she was comfortable but left her alone with her brother.

She shocked them all by thanking Vickram for allowing Neeranjan back and saying she would like to put the incident behind her. That was unlike her, but they were happy to hear that.

After they got home Vickram asked Neeranjan to join hin in his office. Which he did.

"Yes Jeejaji?" Neeranjan said.

"Listen'you are only back here because your sister needs you!. You are here with the sole purpose of making sure she is ok and happy. I do not want to hear even a whisper of you harassing Sugni or any of the other people here 'you hear me!..This is your first and last chance on this matter. !" he told him.

"Belive me jeejaji, I will not even look at her..In fact I was not even interested in her until she star'"

"Enough'I don't want to hear anything about that!..." Vickram said. He could not stand here and listen to one word against Sugni.

"O-Ok..I promise this won't happen again" Neeranjan complied.

"Yes I know!" Vickram said, picking up a file, effectively dismissing him out of the office.

Good chapter. I hate that Dr. Suman😡😡 How can she put that burden on him that if anything happens to Reva, he's to blame?

Nice chapter.. well I felt sorry for vikram again he has to obey his mother words and do what she says and bring back that niranjan home ... well.. unknowingly he was about to tell sugni he loves her... and she too has some inside feeling of love... good.. reva has planned all this and every one fall in the trap.. she had to bring her brother back and she is successful in it !! really feeling sorry for vikram .. his word is not so strong against reva's dramas

hope reva's true colors will be seen by vikram and his mother soon

in fact hope his mother sees the truth because she is the one who is forcing reva on vikram ..

and yea dr suman .. emmm some thing fishy .. let's see what happens next.
