He picks her up and takes her inside to their room. He seats her on the bed.

going to the dresser he takes a couple of pills and hand it to her with some water...
Aaj to bahut chalit phirthi thi naa...jab se tumhare maaye aayee hain..teek se .aaram nahi ki...dard to hongee na! ( you walked around alot today, you did not rest properly since your mother came, it will pain! )

Vickram puts his arm around her...
AAcha...Jab tak hum hain...tum ko koie baath se chinta karne ke zaroorath nahi hain, saachi baath hain...lakin khud ke kyal rakle ...mere liye..( he turns her face to look into her eyes) ..kya hain na tum ko takleef mein deakh kar...mujhe bhi taak leef hota hain...kya kare ...tere aankho mein khush , pyar, hassi yeh sub deakh sakta hain par dard nahi...

Really... as long as i ma here you have nothing to worry about ...but look after your self...for me ... you see, seeing you in problems puts me in problems, what to do , I can see love , laughter and happiness in your eyes, but not pain.

Outside the room Gulabiya stands and watches through the glass as they both lie on the bed and Vickram switches off the light

Gulabiya was about to go to her room but on the way she stopped near vikram sugni room... hearing their voices...strange voices.. smile on the air ... she felt.. is all okay what is happening out there... Oh Sugni .. is she okay ? she goes near the lil window and started watching them .. thinking

Amu walks into the guest house and leans against the closed door. The conversation with Naniji had made her realise just how much what had happened still hurt and made her wonder whether she will ever be able to truly get over it. So she had gone for a walk and had convinced herself that everything had changed and like it or not she had to accept it.

And then she had looked up and saw Mamaji and her on the balcony and she could not look away. Even at that distance it was obvious that, as before, they were completely engrossed in each other, oblivious to everything around them. Part of her was happy for them, they had something special and rare and now they are able to live together happily in that world...part of her was envious...why could she have not what they had and part of her was angry... she had gained everything she wanted while she, Amrita, had lost what little she had.

Slowly tears rolled down her face as stood against the closed door.
