Wonderful artistry Istila! Beautiful. I enjoy Reading , my likes are varied depending on my mood. I like spritual books, as well as romance. One of the best books I have read was a series called Conversations with God by Neal D. Walsch. I also love to write.

Thank you for sharing your love of reading, Vinnie! 😊 This book sounds really fascinating.

I think it's only us women who read romantic books... I suspect most of our asian men, here in UK are pretty useless in the subject!

I also like reading spiritual & religious books, based on Islamic teachings. We have similarities yet differences in beliefs about God.

Walsch, believes that "there is only God, and everything is God" (ref. article) The first half of his statement concords with the Islamic statement of belief 'Kalima' which is, 'There is no god, but Allah' (Al - ilah: The God). The only difference is Muslims do not believe that 'everything is God', but that God is the Creator, He created everything, and: 'Unto Allah belong the East and the West, and wherever you turn, there is Allah's Countenance. Surely, Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.' (Quran 115:2).

Being a Muslim I also believe in Jesus. I love Patience Strong's classical Christian inspirations...She is a great poet and such a positive believer in God Almighty.

As long as we are all sincerely searching for the truth, that is what really matters.

May God Bless 😊

For those of us not watching, PSH here's an idea for this winter...

Here's a hat & scarf my kids made earlier:

For this, you need chunky wool and large knitting needles & pattern for hats (scarf is simple). You can get tips how to make pompoms online.

Thank you Seema, for your reply, 😊 I didn't mean to ignore your response, don't know how I missed this post, unless the page never got refreshed while I was replying before.

I am sorry that you work such long hours, but at least reading will take some of the pressure away. This new generation expects women to be on the same footing as men and expects them to work, full time, though men are usually physically stronger and fit for outside jobs, they do not go through what women go through (i.e pregnancy, child birth, motherhood etc.), women already have enough chores to do at home!

Thanks for telling me about the chalk & powders you use for rangoli... If you have the beautiful rangoli photos, do share. 😊

I would love to see your flower picture. I upload images then copy paste it here. I also love the red decoration Indian women do on their feet when getting married. Is it paint you use, or henna?

I don't know much about Hindu idols, though do know that you worship different ones, so I wouldn't have known which one(s) you worship. I have heard of Laximi - the money idol.

We just pray to Allah (One God, Creator) directly and ask Him for providence -It's such a short cut for me and it always works, (sometimes at supersonic speed). 😆 Okay, I have to admit that I don't have a car because I haven't come round to praying for one yet! I don't like the idea of a metal box carrying me around everywhere... I love nature and hate pollution, so I rather walk even in the winter!

I know our beliefs are different, and am sharing what our prophet (pbuh) said about wealth:

"Richness is not in the quantity of possessions (that one has); rather, true richness is the richness of one's self (or contentment)." (Bukhari)

"Good never brings forth but good...This worldly wealth is (like) sweet (fruit), and if a person earns it (the wealth) in a legal way and spends it properly, then it is an excellent helper, and whoever earns it in an illegal way, he will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied." (Bukhari)

God says:

"Wealth and children are the adornments of the life of this world. But the permanent righteous deeds are better in your Lord's Sight (to attain) rewards, and better in respect of hope." (Quran 18: 46)

"And it is not your wealth, nor your children that bring you nearer to Us, but only he (will please Us) who believes, and does righteous deeds; for such (people), there will be a double reward for what they did, and they will reside in the high dwellings (of Paradise), in peace and security." (Quran 34: 37)
