Jane Eyre and what did she do?

When Jane Eyre found out Mr. Rochester was married and his first wife was mad...she ran away. She ran away NOT to save his wife's marriage but because she could not bear to be in the presence of the man she loved knowing he could NEVER be hers. She never threw things at him; she actually talked to him and confronted him on the deception. She knew he was in love with her and why he lied and while she forgave him, she could not live with him.

Jane Eyre never sold herself to anyone. That would defeat the whole purpose of why she never married hiim in the first place - she could NOT live in sin. For Sugni, I guess living in sin was never the issue - so what was the issue? She was prefectly fine taking her clothes off for TVS nephew and asking him to sleep with her. She literally degraded herself for others.

Even when Mr. St. John proposed marriage to her, she refused when she realized it would not be a platonic relationship. She was determined to preserve her dignity and her virtue - not sell it to the highest bidder.

When Jane Eyre left the Rochester household, she was penniless - there was NO safety net in England at that time - there was NOTHING. She ran to the nearest church, was fortunate to find someone to help her and she rebuilt her life.

I cannot respect Sugni if she is supposed to be based on Jane Eyre. She is an embarassment. I never witnessed the garbage of what has happened to this once liked lead character. If she is with TVS, Sugni or Bumsukhia, it does not matter. She is ruined. She has become SUCH an unlikeable character (along with her mother but I have said that before). TVS is ruined; I cannot even stomach watching him. VB's performance is ALL over the place - I don't think he knows where he's going with this character.
