I strongly encourage you to watch the scene from -6.00 to -1.00. When Aditya tries to throw Sugini out of the house, he says some pretty vile and condescending things about Sugni and while his uncle is trying to protest, he also adds that his uncle believes the same things as he does about Bedinis. At this point, we don't see any angry TVS but one who looks like he's been hit by the truth...that he does hold these deep seated believes that these women are not decent, are low class etc...that they should be treated with contempt.

Sugni looks at him in the hopes he will defend her against his nephew, that he will say something but he doesn't say anything. In fact, he remains silent, loosens his hold on his nephew and goes so far to looking away from Sugni - he looks ashamed and embarrassed. He cannot even look her in the eye. Now, this scene I found very strange because if TVS really did not hold such views, he would have said something to his nephew for calling Sugni these names AND his nephew would not have made such comments.

Watch the scene...

(Episode 16, May 9th Part 1)

http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=2970689 - for the episodes..

Here is my take...TVS is calm but calculating man...he might not be married and he might be sincerely in love with Sugni deep inside...but he might not be open to the idea of making her his wife...he might really see her as someone whom he can love but never marry. Perhaps he even sees her as someone whom he can use, dominate etc. This all supports what the mother has been saying to Sugni along.

Now, take out the storyline of Aditya and Sugni love story.(these scenes are probably fillers and perhaps Aditya will be the person to unite them rather than become the one who falls in love with her or VV)

But what does a young girl do when she has fallen for a guy who does not wish to marry her but will make her his mistress? Will he force (emotionally) her into that role or emotionally will she give in?

Check out the scene and let me know, does it not strike you as odd when he turns away when Aditya makes those comments?

That did seem a bit off to me the first time I saw it. He can stand up to anyone for Sugni except Adi. Is it simply because he doesn't want to hurt Adi because of Adi's past or does Adi know something that he doesn't want him to say in front of Sugni... Now that Laila you've gotten a confirmation from the CV's about Adi-Sugni and Vikram turning negative, I have so many questions popping up in my head about his motives...

i remember that scene - when he turned away embarrassed.

He is very experienced and he is plotting something - its just we the viewers are not clued into it as yet.

I am loving the mystery surrounding this and i eagerly await the outcome.

I remember that scene. At that time, I just thought that VT did not share the same views as Aditya but did not want to hurt him. Now what you are saying is new. So VT also thinks the same way about bedia?

VT also wants to take revenge on bedia for what happened to his sister. But while Aditya just wants to avoid the bedia women, VT thinks the best revenge is to get a bedia woman and then betray her. And who better than Sugni, the bedia girl no thakur could tame?

Or Gulabiya and Sugni may be related to Resham, the bedia woman for who Aditya's father left his mother. May be VT knows about it.

Very possible...I was wondering if there was a connection - it would make sense...

Laila,
Thinking more about this. How will making a bedia woman believe that a thakur loves her, and then betray her, be new? I am sure many thakurs have done that and that is why women like Gulabiya don't trust the thakurs. So what big thing can Vikram achieve by doing what has been done many times?

What about the TVS who told himself that he would never have had the guts to admit his love to Sugni, when Amrita asks him if he was able to stop Sugni? There was no one except TVS. Why would he lie to himself when he is alone? He must be in love with Sugni.
