Abeer shows up, announces that he knows the truth, and asks Suman to take Ishaan out of the room; but not before sharing an emotional moment with his son. When he turns back towards Mehar, he's Season 1 Abeer again. đđđ
He starts emotionally by telling her that she has been wrong for hiding the truth from him for so long, for keeping their son away from him for 8 long years. And the first bloody thing Mehar utters is, "Abeer shut up. Woh tumhara beta nahin hai." Seriously? Does she not have a single tender bone in her body? That's the first thing she wants to tell a broken man who she has cheated for 8 long years? Not apologize? Not try to explain apologetically? Without any remorse, she goes on to tell him to leave them alone.
When Abeer tells her that she has no idea how hurt he's feeling right now, she starts ranting about why he has no right to feel this way. You ask why? Because according to Mehar, she has not only given birth to Ishaan, but has also acted as both parents for him during all this time. Then, she mocks him about how he has just showed up at the door asking for his rights after finding out the truth.
Thank the lord that Abeer tells her what all the viewers want to scream back at her. THAT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE IF SHE HAD TOLD HIM. What is wrong with Mehar? Doesn't she understand the biggest flaw in her own accusations? How is the man supposed to be on your side if you never told him? How is he supposed to be a parent to his son if you never told him? Why is he not supposed to feel angry and cheated if you never told him that he has a son?
Then she obviously brings the only weapon she has against Abeer. That he went away to Singapore after finding out that there was a possibility of Mehar being pregnant. And that he allegedly said that he didn't like kids. That's why she knows there was no point of telling Abeer anything. Really Mehar? That's all you got? You don't think he might have changed AT ALL in those 8 long years? That he was a grown-up now? That his perception about kids might have changed? Did you ever try to find out? He made one mistake and you punish him with such a tragic secret for 8 years? And if I remember right, he came back. He had begged and pleaded you not to leave him. Had he not clealy told you that he wanted to give your marriage another chance? Had he not cried and confessed that he still loved you and couldn't live without you? Was that not an indication that he could be okay with the pregnancy and the possibility of a child?
But then, Abeer Malhotra speaks up and how. Tells her and Akshat to shut up and stop their silly games. "Aaj khulli chetawni de raha hoon. This is a warning. Jo ukhaadna chahte ho na, ukhaad lo." Points his finger at Mehar, and tells her clearly that she won't be able to keep Ishaan away from him anymore. When she tries to interject, he tells her that he will get the police involved if he needs to. But the absolute part is when he tells her, "Apna time mat waste karo baby." That's when her face falls. That helpless look was a victory for Abeer. I'm so glad he got the last word.
The scene between Sasha and Abeer was done really well. So glad that it was Sasha who backed out without Abeer having to. And thank you CVs for not turning her into a negative character. As usual, Suman was sincerely supportive throughout the episode for Abeer. This woman is his biggest strength.
Honestly, Mehar and Bua's typical conversation made me laugh. Despite being a lawyer, does she really believe that a weak and false claim such as Abeer not supporting Ishaan in the last 8 years will stand in the court? Don't they think the judge would ask how the father was supposed to support his son if he wasn't aware of the child's existence? Oh Mehar, you make me so angry. It's like she doesn't even want to try to understand Abeer. Ever dialogue starts with, "Aap toh Abeer ko jaanti ho na...blah blah." She has such a low opinion of him...it's scary.
For a while now, I really hope Abeer stays mad at Mehar. I need her to feel bad, to realize her part in this problem. I need her to show remorse. Or something. She needs to do better.
