Hey guys...I am updating another part...its just Mehbeer here...its not too romantic but I am trying to make it good...hope you like it.ut moves forward the plot...

CHAPTER 13

Abeer Malhotra fixed his hair the hundredth time that evening. It was perfect. He was just messing around to while away the time. He had dressed for the party what seemed a lifetime ago. He was at the moment suffering from one of the side effects of marrying a beautiful woman - WAITING. Waiting while she got ready for the party. He remembered his busy father complaining every time he had to take Mom with him to a party. He had laughed at his dad then. But now he sort of understood how boring it was to wait
No one ever made him wait. But it wasnt like Meher to take this long. She was adequately fashionable and exceedingly beaitiful according to him, but she never took this long. She prefered looking simple and got ready on time. She was always punctual. Today she had been dressing for a long time and had even gone shopping. What had happened to her?

It was getting late. He himself hadnt dresed that fast. He always took time. After all he couldnt disappoint his fans by not paying heed to his looks. But she was taking too long. Had she slept trying to get ready? He laughed at the thought. Meher Purohit...oops Malhotra...never forgot anything so soon. He was getting impatient.

"Meher the party is tonight...are you planning on attending??"he asked loudly.

"Wait...I am almost done."she shouted back.

"What is taking so long?? I am the rockstar here. I have to look handsome for my fans. The CEO doesnt have to" he said impatiently.

"The CEO who is also the rockstar's wife. Your fans will be disappointed na if they find out your wife is boring CEO who turns up at parties without paying heed to her look??"she asked jokingly.

Wife?? What had happened to her he had no idea. For the past few days she was being sweet to him. That cofused him. Was she actually changing her attitude towards him or was it his imagination. He was going crazy probably. Meher wouldnt melt. Unlike him she held grudges for long. She never listened to her heart. His heart was killing him. He hated holding grudges and his heart wouldnt let him be angry with her. Living with her wasnt helping. His mornings started with seeing her drying her wet hair, then he would see her hurrying around the house fulfilling various responsibilities, then at office the CEO who would schedule his shows and talk strategyand at night he would see her sleeping. All the while he suffered from the realization that sge belonged to him and still wasnt his. It hurt more when she was being sweet because it gave him hope.

He heard the dressing room's door open and turned around. The next moment he was choking. She looked a killer. She was always beautiful to him. But today she looked ethereal. She was wearing a red saree with black borders. It wasnt too heavy but had sufficient work done on it. With it was that red net blouse. The colour enhanced the glow of her translucent skin. The dress itself offered much to be seen. She wore minimal jewelry. She wore a gold chain with a heart pendent with white stones like the ones on her saree. Long earrings dangled from her ears...long and shimmering with stones. Along with this was the long mangalsutra on her usually. Usually it might be unnoticed but not today. Whether it was her clothes or her own doing he didnt know but today no one would miss it. She had used more makeup than usual too. Her eyes were lined with thick kohl and eye shadow. A dark shade of lipstick made her lips all the more attractive. He couldnt take his eyes off her.He was reminded of a poem he had read somewhere a long time back. La Belle Dame Sans Merci. A beautiful woman without mercy on the men she trapped by her charm. And here the poor knight was he, her her. The poor knight here was he, her husband.

She saw the colour rising in her cheeks. Then she asked

"Are you gonna keep staring or help me with this?"

Then he noticed that she was struggling with her saree as always. He went up to her and kneeled in fron of her to do the pleets. He made the pleets trying to avoiding looking at her. He got up and turned around not seeing her eager eyes.

"Can we leave??"he asked.

"Hmm...I will be down as soon as I check on Ishu"she said.

"I will get the car ready" he said.

He left the room confused at his own nervousness. Little did he know that she was feeling the same.she blushed watching him go. He looked so handsome dressed in black formals.. No she had to talk to him not shy away. She got into the car with him.

Soon they reached the party venue and walked in his arm entwined in hers. Sattu sir annpunced their recent success. He was very happy with his ladla Abeer and his new CEO Meher. Soon after a dance started. Everyone forced them to dance together. After all they were a newly married couple. Abeer asked her for a dance putting his hand out. She felt proud as she saw some of the girls...Abeer's crazy fans looked at her enviously. He belonged to her...only her. She gave him her hand and he led her to the dance floor.

The song started. Perfect for them...or for what was going on betweeen them.

He held her close. She kept him as close as possible. She wanted to rest her head on his chest but she stopped. No they had to talk first. As soon as this was over she would talk to him. As they walked away from the dance floor Abeer got a call and he excused himself for a minute.

Meher started talking to some clients Sattu Sir wanted her to meet. Abeer wasnt around. She wanted to see him but she couldnt leavethe guests. She was talking to them. After some time once she had talked to all the guests Meher started looking for Abeer. He wasnt present in the room. It was noisy inside. So she went out to call him. As she went near the pool she saw shadows. As she walked up to the pool she saw a sight which crushed her heart.

Her husband was there.

AND HE HAD A GIRL IN HIS ARMS!!!

He was holding her protectively, her head buried in his chest.

The scene broke her completely. It was true that their marriage was a compromise made for Ishaan. But he was her husband. He was the one who had asked for the marriage and now he was cheating on her.As he let go of the girl she noticed it was the same girl.he had seen with Abeer at the restaurant. It had hurt her even then but she had consoled herself that he wasnt hers. He was free to do what he liked. But not now. He had made her worst fear come true.

She thought back to the day her dad had turned up at their house married to another woman. He had bren cheating on her mom for a while. Her mom had been patient. She expected it to pass. But no. Her dad took afvantage of it and married that woman and abondoned her mom , her and Tunnu. He also revealed that he already had another son.Her mom had stayed quiet.

But she wasnt Suman Purohit. She was Meher Malhotra. She wouldnt let him get away with this.

"ABEER" she shouted.

He turned around and started towards her. He wasnt scared or guilty. How could he?? She gave him one tight slap across his face.

He looked shocked but more confused. He could barely make out what gad happened.

" How could you Abeer?? I know you hate me but that doesnt mean you can have an affair with this girl and I wouldnt care. I am not going to tolerate this."she shouted.

"Meher...listen...this is Alia"he said

"No...you listen...You are disgusting...like my dad...you are introducing her to me.??? I have seen her with you if you dont remember...you were busy in each other's arms even then...you are a creep"she said.

"SHUT UP! I am done too...I dont even wanna talk to you...nor am I gonna explain...you can do what you want" he said and left.

"Alia...baby" someone called.

Meher and Alia turned. A guy emerged out of the darkness. Appendix. Meher was confused. Why was thisguy addressing Alia baby.

"Sorry baby...Bhai made me understand what I did wrong" Appendix said.

"Yes Abeer made me realize the importance of love...sorry yaar..."Alia said "but he himself ended up in a mess with Meher Bhabhi"

Alia turned to a shocked Meher holding Appendix's hand.

"Bhabhi I am a huge fan of Abeer like most other girls my age...but I am not dating him...I am dating Appendix...we met through Abeer...today we had a fight and almost broke up...Appendix called Abeer and told him. He made us both realize our mistakes. I was crying here . He came to talk to me. He was just consoling me." Alia said.

Meher's world came crashing down.

"But that day at the restaurant..."she asked.

Appendix explained how they thought of using Alia to make her hreak up with Akshat.

"What did I do?? I.lost him again" she exclaimed.

"Talk to him...he will forgive you...he loves you the most...maybe even more than Ishaaan" Appendix explained.

Meher nodded and wiped her tears. She was gonna get back her love. Nothing would stop her now.

The song Yun hi re is from David film. The song alqays brings to my mind Mehbeer. It suits theirvsituation.
