I agree about Nissar-- and since Abeer helped him out.. he was probably more scared to tell Abeer the truth making him feel more indebted to him. Actually his character makes a lot of sense and why Rati was so frustrated with him and his lack of desire for success. He probably sabotaged his professional life out of guilt. If the story was allowed to play out organically instead of being so rushed, it would've been very interesting.

Yeah but Abeer was primed to blow up because of what tayji said-- she made it seem like Meher planned the pregnancy to teach him a lesson. Its very in character Abeer. He has always been impulsive and thoughtless. Then he probably feels bad and comes back thinking Meher should just forgive him immediately because that is what he is used to.

Yeah Suman actually makes me angry now. I've never liked the way she lets Shyam walk over her but I always thought she had a good reason for pushing a reconciliation. But she really is totally indoctrinated into this culture of patriarchy... where it doesn't matter what the man does the woman should be forgiving etc. By not being angry with Abeer-- she subconsicously was reinforcing to Abeer that he hasn't done anything wrong.

yes, Nissar's hesitance makes a lot of sense now. He is punishing himself in a way, for the ultimate betrayal.

Suman seems to have inhered some typical patriarchal notions. Bua is such a brave woman- I admire her more than Meher, in fact. What fortitude, and what determination.

No wonder Bua dislikes Abeer so much. He deserves her cold treatment.

I don't know-- Arnav was pretty horrible to Kushi. But at least it wasn't in the name of love-- like Abeer. Abeer just made a mockery of love. Hopefully in Singapore Abeer comes to his senses on his own.

I think he will sign the divorce papers but get some sense in Singapore.. which is too late to make things right back...So Meher will sign the papers even after his begging..

I think Meher was in so much need of money for baby or something, and then when she asked KM he would have asked to sign the papers in return.. It might be when that she came to know the true colours of KM and Tayiji..

^ I don't think Meher asked for money at all. She has a lot of self-respect for that.

Methinks Kuber would've gotten the sign under the pretense of signing a document.

But do you remember, In present scenario, one of the earlier episodes.. Meher was saying something to Bua like: Abeer's Papa signed our check on that day, today I'm in the postion to sign check for Abeer..

In fact, this is why she joined Abeer's office. She wanted to show that she can earn money and that she can live without him. In that very earlier episodes she was being in so much like revenge mode.. at least I felt so!

And kept questioning her upbringing, was bitingly rude to her...etc, etc,.

Oh I remember that--- but I didn't think it was a big deal. 😆 From his perspective, Zoya lied to him and because of that his mom was critically injured. It was an emotional reaction. I have to admit slaps don't bug me so much as long as a woman also has the right to slap a man. 😆 Yeah Asad was pretty mean to Zoya but it was part of his character-- she was liberal, he was orthodox. He is allowed to have his own belief.. it would only have bugged me if he expected Zoya to change for him.

Meher is absolutely correct in everything she did.

She just made one mistake- marrying too young, and that too to a man who hadn't understood what marriage meant. She and Bua and Suman fell for Abeer's charm and were persuaded into letting the marriage happen.

She should've understood the warning signals after all the obstacles that followed the engagement.

I actually like Asad most of all Gul's heroes- because in the end he accepted Zoya for what she was and corrected his own orthodox thoughts about women's roles and behaviour.
