And after that, when she goes to her parents and tells them that she can't go on to marry the guy she's engaged with, but she doesn't know what to do because she doesn't want them to lose their "face" kyun ki shaadi ke cards bat chuke hai (I just as an Indian it felt really relatable to our society). And then when her parents are like something to the effect of "face shmace, above all, it's your happiness that is the most important to us."

Sigh. Last epis here are so fulfilling. ❤️

Actually in MBEB-- did any of the couples consummate while they were together. I don't know if Chinese from China are the same way as Indians about shaadi se phele being taboo? I know for some of my friends here its not such a big deal although a few had an issue about moving in before marriage.

But the Hao Ren and Xiang Nan deffo did, at least in the present when they'd recently just met. Like I remember they woke up next to each other kinda you know, like it was implied and they continued meeting like that for a bit remember? I think that's what happened at least LOL

And I think it's certainly not as taboo as it is in India.
