Anyway I agree with you, Nisaar probably is quiet because Meher told him to not say anything. I feel the truth would break Abeer & hurt him the most hence why Nisaar has been quiet for so many years, otherwise I'm sure he would've spitted out the truth by now. He's seen that Abeer loves Meher a lot and now somewhat wants to be back with her. Also, how easy they thought there arguments could' be sorted - like Abeer said that he would say sorry and she would make daal makhni and all would be fine. But it really wasnt so easy

I also think the fact that Meher was specifically told by both the moms that its her responsibility to keep the family together has a big role. Her mom told her -- she trusted her to win everyone over. So maybe Meher thought she could win tayji over?

I think Meher totally believed that whatever happened with her and Abeer they would sort it out. But somethings aren't just over with a sorry. I could totally see this as a pattern with Abeer... he reacts on impulse and comes back to make amends. But doesn't necessarily change his behaviour.
