I'm kind of in this numb state right now where I'm just unable to attach myself to anything. I'm oddly not even that greatly affected by the show ending. I always knew that SP was going to royally screw things up.

I wish I could be in that state. Should've known better than to get over attached to a show.
Wish this was aired on some other channel

That's the biggest downfall of this show. A concept such as this should never have gone to Star Plus in the first place. It had already doomed itself to fail. It could have done so much better on a different channel.

It's only StarPlus that has this mentality.
Many channels like on ZeeTv, Colors, MTV have had successful shows that were 'nayi soch' and they built their own niche!

SP can't deal with women having jobs, not wearing Sarees/shalwars everyday, and standing up for themselves

I tried watching today's episode and it was so boring. If you're ending it, atleast give MehBeer the screen space

Yup-- its the saddest thing. And if they know what their target audience likes and they want to bring a show like this, then keep the family stuff going in the background.

They wasted 5 full minutes on tayji/suman nonsense. We already know what tayji is up to. We don't need to watch it. Just give us mehebeer romance. Although mehbeer were really cute on the phone. 😳

I didn't even see the phone conversation. :(
Taiji is such a bish. Like um , people who do hit and runs go to jail, regardless of if you're a Malhotra or a common man

I've been watching Zee Tv since I was a little girl. I admit back in the day, even they used to have the typical saas-bahu shows but there was an attraction towards them. Even now, they have those characters that irritate the hell out of you, but the concepts and story lines they are presenting are unbelievably good!

For example:

  • Doli Armaano Ki - is presenting a rape track in the most realistic manner possible. It is accurately depicting how a rape case is processed in court, what the society's reaction is towards the victim, how the family reacts, what kind of support she is given and is available to her etc.
  • Jamai Raja - is presenting a miscarriage track where it is accurately depicting the fears of a woman who has recently lost her child. Her insecurities in probably not being able to provide another child to her husband, the inability to properly take care of another child (in case of adoption); even how the husband is reacting not only towards his wife but in losing his own child as well.
I'm watching another called Tashan-E-Ishq and that one is light and peppy and the drama is not meant to be taken too seriously. It's a show where you can just sit back and watch without having to invest yourself too much into it.

Zee Tv does not have that many shows airing on its channel right now but it is looking at quality over content. This is something that Star Plus really needs to learn. It cannot expect to garner the type of results it wants over night. It takes time to accumulate an appropriate audience and response.
