But Meher also had a lot of concerns about living with guys... she felt bad about going against the "sanskar" of her family... so I really don't think she would take that step if anything for her family's sake.

And I think she wasn't saying no because she wasn't sure about him or marriage but that she didn't want to upset her bua or lose her focus on giving her family a nice life. Once he figured that part out-- I could see him thinking that she could still do all that.
