Abeer looked at devki bua from the corner of his eyes.
"Sochta tha sirf zubaan kadwi hai apki... Lekin... Im sorry your mission failed"
Before devki could say a word in her defence, abeer pulled out the piece of glass from meher's foot, slowly making sure it doesn't hurt her..
"Aah..."
Abeer picked meher in his arms bridal style and took her to her room upstairs. His eyes speaking volumes. Disappointment written on his face.
He slowly kept meher on the bed and from the side table took out the first aid kit. He settled on the floor and started cleaning the blood.
"Abeer..."
Abeer didn't say a word, so meher called him again.
"Abeer talk to me please..."
"What do you wanna talk about...?? I know you want to defend your bua..."
Abeer said and now with antiseptic solution, cleaned meher's wound.
Meher kept looking at abeer. She was overwhelmed seeing her abeer back, the one she saw at Pinky's house.
"Cmon... I'm waiting... Pesh karo daleel..."
Abeer said his eyes fixed on meher's foot.
When he looked up at Meher, he saw tears rolling down her cheeks and her eyes fixed on him.
"Meher... Is it hurting a lot..??"
Abeer cupped meher's face and wiped the tears with his thumb.
"A lot..." She replied.
"Lemme go and call a doctor..."
Meher held abeer's hand stopping him from going.
"Its not a piece of glass that's hurting me... Its you abeer..."
Abeer was unable to understand what meher said.
"Looking at you going all insane just because I stepped on a piece of glass... Its hurting me..."
"Meher... I.."
"Abeer I don't want to be your weakness..."
Meher confessed, now holding abeer's hand with both of her hands as if scared to let him go.
"You are not... Its.. I just..."
Abeer looked away.
"Like I don't know why you blamed bua downstairs..."
"I can't take it... I would even die for you meher... Say it once and I will do it in a second... But you getting hurt because of me, this the last thing I want..."
Abeer confessed locking his eyes with hers.
Now that her abeer was back, she would give up everything in the world, to be his meher again.
Meher hugged abeer and hided herself in his chest.
"I am fine... We are fine..."
She whispered.
He smiled.
