It's about time! Plus I always thought of Abeer as the submissive one in their relationship. He just lets things slide and then moves on to flirting with her. Meher is more of the one to hold grudges

I think Abeer angers quickly and in the heat of the moment says stupid stuff but once he calms down he is usually the one to try and make peace. Whatever happened between them in the past, he was the one to come back and try to salvage the relationship but Meher was still holding a grudge. I think he just signed the divorce paper in anger but didn't really mean it.

You can tell it really hurts him when she says that he isn't her husband.😭
