Guys I am really really wondering now, why did they divorce yaar. For what. He loves her so much to the extend that he couldn't take the accusation bua put on Meher. And Meher she too loves him enough yaar we saw in the last 2 epi how she is able to relax with him. Phir Kyun?. I guess it was a mountain out of a mole hill that separated them. If only they had given some space to each other at that time. Just a minor separation to evaluate their feelings. It wouldn't have needed divorce for sure.
And now coming to the epi, it was a very very beautiful epi I would say, I mean an emotionally satisfying one for me as a woman. Bua accuses Meher that she had send her to study, not to fall in love. She accuses she fell in love, married on her wish, separated on her wish and her decision is impacting the whole family.
So the question still remains. Cant a woman make choices. Women themselves think they cannot make independent choices, then how in the world men will see woman as capable of taking decisions for themselves.
That diary was a beautiful flow of thoughts in Meher. Her confusions, her compulsions. It was the words of a girl who has kept her emotions buried inside because she was not expected to show them. She had to study, fend for her own to support the people who need her support. Love doesn't have time in her life though she would love to, She doesn't want people to call her Miss Akkudu but she has no choice because she needs to be the topper.
The pressure a family puts on the child, and the way the child suppresses the natural feelings of love and friendship to meet those expectations was beautifully bought out in that episode. How many parents and elders take away the right of the child to enjoy the beautiful phase of their youth with the expectations, by fixing accountability for each and everything, by not supporting the failures blaming them. Do they even understand the venom they spew in the youngsters mind when they do that. A child just living to meet the expectations. And if one met , keep more on him or her. If they don't meet brand them as useless.
I really really loved the epi. Even the fb where the beginning of courstship was not shown in a mushy way. But in a realistic way of showing Abeer's concern for Meher. That black coffee. I really loved when he showed Meher " Yeh coffee black hai"
Beautiful epi and hats off to CVs for the same ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

yes fero, somewhere in that diary and confusions I found myself, the college girl who too has shut her emotions to the world because she needed a job to have a voice or a say on the most important decision in her life. Marriage. Though not love, I will say now that B-Tech was my choice out of compulsion because that would pave the way to the job in IT field with campus interviews. A pretty 5 digit salary in 2003 did give me the voice to stand for myself, but somewhere I lost some enjoying of my college days.

I was wondering about that for days actually, there was no need for a divorce. But I guess kuber(especially)and bua (I hate to say this, but she wants to control meher, over interference in every small thing but not a single serious action against her bhaisaab and prejudiced too.) might have been waiting for a single reason to separate mehbeer and when they got one,why should they wait??
The sensible madhaviji or suman hardly have a say in the matter even now.

Her diary entry was realistic, not at all OTT.and I love the way they show the college fb and beginning of romance, not much mushy or cheesy but the right flavour and music.

But I felt meher went a bit overboard, burning the diary and all.abeer gave a karara jawab to bua's taunts by reading out that diary entry.and the precap was intense enough.it'd have been better if she exploded her anger when they were alone (like that ATM counter.).they could have sorted out their issues maybe.

All in all,a wonderful episode.

P.S. couldn't watch EHT dub yesterday, but know that Malayalam cvs are doing a pretty good job.

yaa ratna Meher was really angry. But only solace is that what bua needs to hear, she has heard. Coming to EHT yesterday epi it was fab yaar, you should have atleast caught the repeat. The dialogues were so realistic no fill in the blanks. With each dialogue jealousy track making more sense. In Hindi actually I had hated that track calling it boring and predictable. Also Malayalam dialogues gives the feeling that Dev is her target after Ganguly. A really big target whose punishment she is defining. And yes his punishment and coming out has to become the major point of the story itself, its shifting or changing point.

Awesome post Shruthi. ๐Ÿ‘

I loved what u wrote here. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I am really liking the way CVs have written the characters here , whether it is Bua or Meher's father or even Kuber all of them r important for MehBeer's story. Theirs is not a love story of just two people but also reflection and reactions of people around them. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Loved the episode, and loved whatever you've written.. ๐Ÿ‘

"Women themselves think they cannot make independent choices" and
a woman like bua ji who is independent is also thinking in the same way...๐Ÿ˜ณ

I also loved the Precap, When Abeer asked if she could share her feelings with him,why not with others then Meher's reply that she had shared with her husband whom she used to love once ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Abeer reading her dairy in his show was even though his intentions were good. Ironically I loved this scene so much. Like really really so much.

Great post, as always.
