YES. How can you blame someone for falling in love without doing a background check? As if you can control that. Honestly, Meher shouldn't regret any part of her past - if she loved him, she loved him. At least it was beautiful (and hopefully her love still exists in her heart) while it lasted.

I know-- if people could control who they fell in love with- half the world's problems would be solved🤣

But I sort of get too. Bua's point is that Meher didn't have to act on those feelings... and its a universal conflict between parents and children. How many times have we heard of parent's disapproving of their child's choice in partner... this time the parent gets to say "I told you so". Bua's frustration is that of the parent who wanted her child to make the rational choice using their own experience of life. I think a part of it is probably Bua's own guilt that she couldn't guide Meher well enough and because Meher got hurt the whole family got hurt.

The only person Abeer has cried in front of other than his mom is Meher and the only person Meher told all her secrets to was Abeer. They both allowed themselves to be so vulnerable with each other. Just such a pure emotional connection from both ends.
