- The present/flashback format: Certain present moments acting as a gateway to the past of the characters. Whether it's Abeer's story narration or Meher remembering because of Abeer being drunk. I found it cool.
- The show having its own songs: I know most shows have this now but the entire premise of the show is based around music. The original songs simply add to the charm.
- The clothing: I personally love the dressing style found on the show, especially Meher's. Seriously, everything she wears is a huge favorite of mine. Whether it's in her flashback moments or the present, her dressing sense has evolved and has suited her personality strongly.
- The relationships: The one that's standing out the most to me right now is Meher's family. Meher's relationship with her brother reminds me of mine. Another one is of Meher's mom and brother's reaction towards Abeer. It's a reminder that relationships simply aren't that easily ended. Because one person ends a relationship, it doesn't mean that everyone else are obligated to do the same. Even Meher and Abeer haven't ended their relationship; it has merely taken a different form.
- Meher/Abeer: Considering the show is new and these actors are new (I've never seen them before), there is a lot riding on them. In most shows, characters undergo a hate-to-love process, but here it is a hate-to-love-to-hate. There is so much that these characters have gone through together that we don't know about. So much history that still needs to be revealed and to have that kind of chemistry and to establish that kind of relationship from the get-go is applauded. The actors have done a really good job of showcasing this.
- Relatable characters: It's similar to the "the relationships" point but a more emphasis on all the characters rather than the select few. Almost all characters are relatable on some point and if not, then at least understandable. It's a show where the characters have been given as much importance as the story.
- More high points: I've been told there are more high/happy points than low (i.e. less negativity) which is really refreshing. This adds more realism to the show as people don't generally tend to make extravagant plots to murder/destroy a person who has hurt them. It's portraying real life accurately where sometimes you will be required to work with someone that you don't like. Relationships are forged and sometimes they end on a bitter note. But that doesn't you jeopardize your career because of one spoiled relationship. You learn to deal with it and move on.
- Forum: The forum is a reflection of the show and this applies to all shows. I have been here at I-F for a really long time but left because of the bitterness that certain forums had created. You can, in a way, think of it like me returning after 8 years like Meher and Abeer. 😆 (But seriously it has been years. 😳) Anyways, the forums that I had been a part of had become really toxic because the material they were presenting on the shows at the time was really toxic. But for this forum, everyone have been truly friendly in all aspects. Some are quite mastane like Abeer. 😆
- Star Plus: A lot like you, even I'm surprised that this is a show coming from Star Plus. So I am a bit wary of watching it because I don't want it to become another saas-bahu serial or have the story be butchered for TRPs. It's doing really well right now and has gotten a lot of positive feedback. I hope it continues to prosper and do well as it is. Personally, I'd much rather it end on a high note than be ruined because of TRPS.
