Your grammar is beautiful and so is the plot. I just hope that the chapters would be bigger from the next... 😊

All the updates after this will be bigger. This was actually part of the chapter and not the full chapter. It is in the format of a radio show with breaks in between.

SHOWTIME 1 (Contd.)

"Welcome back after the break. So where were we when I left you, yes...Meher...Meher Purohit. You never know when some people come into your life and make their permanent residence in your heart. Meher was one such special person in my life...or to be more precise the most special person in my life.

I was sitting at the railway station pondering on what next to do. A hundred thoughts were running in my mind. Should I join the business school and give up my dream of music? Should I care a damn about my father's threat to reveal everything to my mom? A single second told me that do what I might, I could not ignore about my mother's state of health. The life and death of Mrs. Damini Malhotra might not be worth even a rupee to Mr. Kabir Malhotra for whom the whole world revolves round money, but to him Abeer Malhotra, she was his whole world, and even if it meant burying his dreams, he would do it.

The thought of leaving music which was my life breath was truly very disturbing. But as they say some dreams are not destined to be. When you are bereft of them, the whole world seems as empty outside as you are from within. So it was for me. I dropped my first guitar which I bought ten years back saving all my pocket money into the nearby dustbin. I used to call her Buddy'. I would never see her, hear her, or play her again. I kept walking away into the distance without turning back...a sad song, full of angst was echocing at the back of my mind. It was as though I was self-amputating a part of myself when I left my Buddy behind me.

Main toh jiya na mara

Hai ve das main ki kara

Dil jude bina hi tut gaye hath mile bina hi chhut gaye

Ki likhe ne lekh kismet ne

Baar baar rod akhiyan tainu jo na vekh sakiyan

Hai to yeh kyun hota hai

Jab yeh dil rota hai

Roye sisak sisak ki hawayein

Jag suna lage

Chan Se jo tute koi sapna

Jag suna suna lage

Jag suna suna lage

Koi rahe na jab apna

Jag suna suna lage

Jag suna suna lage reee

Suna Lage Reee

Roothi rothi sari raatein

Fikhe fikhe sare din

Virani si virani hai

Tanhai si tanhai hai

Aur ek hum hai pyaar ke bin

Har Palchin

Chan Se jo tute koi sapna

Jag suna suna lage

Jag suna suna lage

Koi rahe na jab apna

Jag suna suna lage

Jag suna suna lage

Patharo ki is nagari mein

Pathar chehre Pathar dil

Phirta hai mara mara

Kyun rahon mein tu awara

Yahan na hoga

Kuch hasil mere dil

Chan Se jo tute koi sapna

Jag suna suna lage

Jag suna suna lage

Koi rahe na jab apna

Jag suna suna lage

Jag suna suna lage

Hai to yeh kyun hota hai

Jab yeh dil rota hai

Roye sisak sisak ki hawayein

Jag suna lage

Chan se jo tute koi sapna

Jag suna suna lage

Jag suna suna lage

Koi rahe na jab apna

Jag suna suna lage

Jag suna suna lage reee

And that's when the unexpected happened. Some dreams are not destined to be...because they are meant to become realities. It happened with me also. Meher came into my life like a whiff of fresh air. As I was sitting on my seat in the train, I could hear some familiar and discordant notes assailing my ears. It was my Buddy. But who was playing her and so awfully too? It was a girl who was wearing spectacles and sitting at the window seat opposite to me...I snatched my Buddy from her hand and shouted at her... How dare you touch my Buddy?'

She looked perfectly cool and collected and replied, Oh, is she? I didn't know. I found her in the dustbin and now she is mine. I will play her as I wish.' With that she continued strumming her even more wildly and discordantly. It seemed as though she would break a string or two of my Buddy. I said, Hey stop! That's not the way you play a guitar. See...' I snatched my Buddy and started playing. When I stopped playing, she quietly but firmly took my Buddy and started playing her like an absolute professional. I stepped back in amazement. Who was she? Did I know her? If she knew to play so well, why did she play so awfully just a while back?

She herself answered all my questions after she stopped playing, I'm Meher Purohit. My mother is a professional musician. I have learnt guitar since my childhood. When I saw you throwing the guitar into the dustbin, I just could not control myself. I knew that you were not in your right senses when you were doing it. All the same, you had no right to do what you did. If you want to give up music, it's your personal choice, but you have no right to disrespect it.'

So even though I was ready to give up music, Meher and my Buddy were not ready to let me forget. In life, you always have the easy but wrong path, and the difficult but right path. Only your true friends will guide you and be with you in the difficult but right path. I no longer felt so alone in the world. Apart from my mother and Buddy, there was someone else in my world from that day onwards. Meher Purohit!"

Every person has a thing with which we have a unique personal attachment. It's almost like a person to us. Since Abeer is a musician, he must obviously have something which is very close to his heart. Here it is the guitar. Meher is a very special friend of Abeer, so her entry in his life also has to be different. I loved reading your comment. Do keep reading and commenting.
