I believe that the main reason for divorce is abeer's dad.

Whenever he talks about meher its evident that he has hatred for her.

I beleive the divorce has to do something with him.

In this old TB article [ it was posted on nov 2014] so you cant be sure it states they had a child

He gets attracted towards a girl in the college and then both of them get married during their college days and have a kid as well. Later, they get separated from each other. What will happen after they get separated is the story going to be all about."

We tried contacting Pearl but he remained unavailable to comment."

And recalling the Abeer- Meher convos, Abeer wanted divorce later resented his opinion and went to Meher before signing the papers. But Meher decided not to give their relationship a second change. There must have been very strong reasons for this.

Also considering the fact Abeer is rich and Meher is a middle class girl, I really think that Abeer's dad might have something to do with it.

Hai new to this forum i hav started liking this show.mahbir r amazing.Not much is revealed about ttheir past till now but i think abir's father and mehar's bua r somehow behind mehbir divorce and if they hav a child where he is?May be we ll get hint about it in future apisode.

hi new to the forum but where are you folks getting your speculations from? any sources anyone can tell me about? btw LOVING this show, finally a modern no nonsense woman for a heroine rather than the typical salwar suit pehen ne wali aasmani pari with a bad boy story that EVERY OTHER show has. hopefully she'll retain her charm. abeer is just hot. i can barely look past his sexiness and focus on characterization...the musics so good as well!

The reason behind divorce is very intriguing and it could be any of the reasons you guys listed...maybe it was his father whom made her give into the divorce...or maybe she was pregnant and she knew he would not have wanted the child after she saw him sending her divorce papers so she divorced him and the child died...
